So hire who you call a "fool" instead of keeping the D coord who got us #1 D 2 years ago and top 10 right now in a system he had never coached?

Calling someone a fool is just jive lingo, not a literal insult.

I see some in here would like to get DE John Abraham if he is a FA this year. It sounds like a good idea but if Mike Zimmer is still the DC here after this year then adding Abraham would not improve our pass rush or QB pressures at all. Ever since Mike Zimmer has been DC here it has been proven that no matter who we add our pass rush never ever improves and our blitzes never show any improvement either. So adding Abraham would not help any either.

Hopefully the rumors are true that the Rams are interested in Zimmer. Losing Zimmer would be the best thing to happen to our defense. Suddenly outta nowhere our DL would become very dangerous with pass rushing sacks and QB pressures and also tackles for losses. Ware would take off and learn alot more new moves and we would see huge improvement in hiding blitzes and faking blitzes.

I am not in favor of getting Abraham. I would much rather use FA $$$ on offensive line. I KNOW we have alota talent on our defensive line and we just need a REAL DC in here who knows how to use it.

Losing Mike Zimmer would improve our defense more the adding Abraham ever could.

Please Rams do us a big favor and get Zimmer outta Dallas.

Nice read. Hope the Rams thing "pans out".

"After the loss against Denver i am a believer! Zimmer is just to stupid to piss a hole into the snow!He is just not worthy to call himself part of the Dallas Cowboys organisation"

I think you mean organization? and Mike Zimmer is doing an excellent job this year as DC, and he would be a very bad lost.

I have to say that I lean towards Wolverine on this one....
I firmly believe we have more talent on D than what our results show.
I don't think Zimmer is a bad coach or d coordinator, I think he's done a pretty good job. At the same time, I think there are a few D coordinators out there that would really make our Defense ferocious and increase our sacks and takeaways significantly.
I know that we're young and that we could use another LB and a FS but even the Raven's championship defense had one or two guys that weren't probowlers.
The biggest problem i have with Zim is that he hasn't been able to take a talented college DE and coach him into a passrushing terror...and Lord knows we've spent many first rounders on finding one. The last one we had was via FA.
Overall, I think Zim is a great bend but don't break guy but just flat out horrible at finding ways to get pressure on the QB and poor at coaching passrushers individually.

It is nice to see someone who can think before they post. WHat you say about Zimmer has not ben able to take a talented DE and caoch him to being a pass rushing terror and him being poor at coaching pass rushers is so true.

I guess the Zimmer can do no wrong crowd in here will soon be saying how Ware is not very talented and soon start calling him a bust since Zimmer is the greatest ever in their minds.

But I thought I would bring up something from the KC game. Our D gave up over 500 yards. That is the most yards KC has run up on any team they have played this year. The 28 points is the 4th most they gave up.

KC scored 45 points against the Texans #30 ranked defense. One TD came on a 57 yd INT return so their D really only gave up 10 more points

Denver gave up 31 points to KC in one game.

The Commanders also gave up 28 points but 7 of those were on a 80 yard Fumble return. So their D still gave up 7 fewer then ours.

Miami gave up 30 points.

So if you look at it only Miami Denver and Houston gave up more points on D.

Only one other team gave up more yards rushing to LJ then us. Only one other team gave up more passing yard to Green then us.

Very interesting.

I am glad we won but I thought this needed to be brought up.
