Yes, everyone gets slower as they age. AB & TO did not get faster.
they did stay faster while others slowed some guys are special but the OP is reaching for something thats not there..

using an eye test for speed is first flaw..

remember Daryl Green ex skin, dude at 40 was still as fast as he came in the league..thats a small and elite group that can age and never slow down..
No. A quick Google search shows that Green was blazing fast at 40 (4.43), but when he entered the league you will find a range of times but everyone has him at sub 4.2

google doesn't know all those 40 times depending on where and when taken vary for all players..he was blazing fast when he entered and blazing fast when he left..

hers what google said odd so he was slow at the combine and month later did this

It has been said consistently that Darrell Green recorded a time of 4.09 at the Washington Commanders' training camp in 1986. That's a hard time to swallow but Green's obvious speed has been put on display many times while he was in the NFL.

so google now makes you look bad lol i cant find whatever else you would like..

some further info says he was just times at 50yrs old a 4.43 lOL i win!!

Darrell Green wasn't really all that,

http://trackfield.brinkster.net/Profile.asp?ID=2319&Gender=M&Page=Results.asp&EventCode=MA1

He never did anything at all on the national scene and only took 6th at the NCAA.

1982 (Provo, June 05; wind +1.9) ......................................................(A) (34 contestants, 8 finalists; Q—10.30)
1. Stanley Floyd (Houston).................................... So ..............10.03 (MR)
2. Willie Gault (Tennessee) .................................... Jr................10.10
3. Mike Miller (Tennessee)..................................... Sr ...............10.11
4. Mark McNeil (Houston) ..................................... So ..............10.19
5. Darwin Cook (USC)........................................... Fr................10.21
6. Darrell Green (Texas A&I) .................................. Jr................10.27
7. Rod Richardson (Texas A&M)............................ So ..............10.3

NFLers to be Willie Gault and Mike Miller beating him there.

There was no 4.09 that is fiction.

He did run a great 10,08 but was more of a 10.2ish cat, which is what Deion and Heschel Walker ran.

Those at sub 10.20

Trindon Holliday 10.00
Jacoby Ford 10.01
Bob Hayes 10.06.........being that was ran on a dirt track over 50 years ago it is the superior time
Ron Brown 10.06....Olympic 100m finalist
Alvis Whitted 10.07
Darrell Green 10.08
Sam Graddy 10.09....Olympic 100m silver medalist
Willie Gault 10.10
Curtis Dickey 10.11.....fastest 1000 yard rusher, actually world ranked at Texas A&M
Mike Miller 10.11
James Trapp 10.14
Michael Bates 10.14...Olympic bronze at 200m
James Jett 10.16...Olympic 4x1
Tyreek Hill 10.19....ran that in HS, he was more 10.10 at least

Cliff Branch and Mel Gray ran a 9,2 for 100 yards and Willie McGee a 9.1 world record, that tied Bob Hayes record.

There are six former Raiders up there.

Bo Jackson had a 10.39PR, that was due to him not taking the sport seriously, but......as a HS kid in Alabama he twice won the state decathlon without having to run the 1500,.....wow!

Every players begins to slow after those NCAA days and the wear and tear of the NFL. While Tyreek is still fast I guarantee he is no longer a 20.14 200m man.

I was stupid fast when I was young. I could outrun a guy that ran a 4.4 and had the standard angle on me. By age 25 or 26 I noticed I slowed down considerably. Father time acts quickly.
