I agree 100% with everything here.

As far as guard dogs, they can be trained to "act" aggressive towards intruders...but even then, if it came down to real aggression towards humans, its usually not really in their nature. I had a friend that used a 135lb Boxer for protection....although it didn't really need to do much. It was so damn big it scared the crap out of everyone.

Best purebred dog IMO.

I couldn't agree more, they are very special dogs. My brother loves dobs, my son loves pits... me, I love Boxers!

how's Mrs. Viper taking the loss?

She's taking it hard, she cried when she picked up the pups. Casey would follow her everywhere, she was our baby.

Cancer took our baby too, thanks... I'm sorry for your loss as well. They truly are a joy, they are part of the family. Casey will always hold a special place in our hearts. Even Aries (bubba/Moose) cried for his Casey, he actually wailed.

No, I never mated her. Moose joined the family back in sept, she mothered him. We had bought her a toy goose once, it became her baby. It would honk and she would think we were hurting it. She would carry that goose around were ever she would go. When it was nothing but a rag, I finally through it away. When we brought home Aries, he became her baby.

You would love him Yeag, Casey tought him well. He is so good with the two new babies. We don't exist anymore, it's all about the puppies now:laugh1:

I was just curious because of their coats and markings.

yeah, they do look alike. Casey and Moose (Aries) are both reverse brindle. Our little ones, Kaya is a brindle and Winnie (the Pooh:eek:) is a fawn. She's our little Pooh bear:eek:: . Kaya means bigger sister. She's the curious one. Casey would have loved both of these girls.

you're breaking my heart Viper :(

well I hope you enjoy the other tykes

Actually, I thank you. It helps to talk about her. I am just glad she had a loving home after having a hard life before we rescued her. She truly did bless our family.

I prefer the fawns but brindles are cool also.

To be honest, we were only going to get one puppy, the brindle. When we saw the fawn it was love at first site. My wife was so exited, she wanted both and used her evil ways to talk me into it. She was so happy when I told her to go ahead, we'll love em both.

Winnie (fawn) has a bit of a temper on her. Aries is working that out of her. Every time she throws a fit, he holds her down til she submits. Kaya is the curious one, she wants everything...I'm gonna loose wieght chasing that one around.

Cool...

I could never breed boxers. I'd want to keep all of the pups. :laugh2:

I've never breed them as well, not sure I'll let these three get together. My zoo doesn't need anymore members.:

yeah, I know what you mean, dogs are quite the characters, each one has a different personality and little quirks, so they really are a part of your family, they're kids that will never grow old and boring, and won't disobey you or disrespect you

watching this show called DogTown right now where they're rehabilitating the Michael Vick pits

Man, sorry to hear about your loss. I'd be crushed if something happened to my GSD.

I also noticed that PullMyFinger had a GSD and it died of bloat? What exactly happened? My wife worries about that with him and it seems like it's not that uncommon.
