I don't think there is an anti-Cowboys bias. They do strange things though.

John Madden seems to go through "if I repeat it often enough I will be right" phases. He kept saying that the Giants made a great adjustment of defending the inside against Romo when they got an interception. Now watch the replay and tell me if you think the play occurred in the middle of the field. T.O. was the primary target and really he was the only one who ran a route on that play and that was between the numbers and the sidelines. It was not the middle of the field, but Madden kept on saying it. And if Madden says it often enough I notice that others starting repeating it.

In the Colts-Saints game Madden kept going on and on about Bob Sanders. The problem was that he really did not have a good game. He missed a lot of tackles. It was overshadowed because the rest of the team played very well. The first replay was him laying a hit on a Saint, but he did not make the play. Someone else was already tackling the running back and pulling him to the ground when Sanders came in late. It just grew from there. Sanders got ran over by McCallister for a 3rd down converson, but Madden did not say anything about it.

I always go back to 1991 when Aikman got hurt and Steve Beurlein had to start the remainder of the regular season. Dallas was winning and Madden often would talk about their success was because Beurlein was taking 5 step drop backs as opposed to Aikman taking 7 step drop backs. Madden would really make it sound as if it was Aikman's choice to drop back 7 steps on every passing play. Nevermind that the quarterback drop is determined by the play that is called. And sure enough I would read in letters in the Dallas Morning News some fans talking about this and how Beurlein was the better QB for Dallas.

And to top it all off... today everyone is talking about the Giant's injuries as the "reason they lost," while everyone in Dallas is *****ing about the defense.
