Look at past drafts and the quality of DTs by round. There's a reason they are drafted where they are.

I would feel really good about wr, rb rounds 2 and 3. We would have to scrape together a defense but I think it’s best to completely address one side of the ball so you have something to hang your hat on. Plus I think the offseason additions on defense were better than the ones on offense.

Yeah and unfortunately that is the price you pay when you grab ol with first pick. We always needed a starting quality WR and a top level RB, so if we would of grabbed a WR first then we could of gotten a DT or CB in 2nd and grabbed the RB in third.
Now gonna have to hope the 2nd Round WR is better than what we have (or don't have if being realistic) now and gonna have to get him in 2nd then RB in 3rd

Defense is gonna have to prevail rest of draft (although I think we need to double dip at RB somewhere in 5th or 6th round).

By default, the D will improve. We saw this last year when the offence stayed on the field, our D stood out...if the goal is to build our run game then we get our RB in Rd 2 and WR in the 3rd. Focus on the run is ball control, and keeps our D fresh. It's so simple if we do this properly

This defense is much better right now than last year. We need RB and WR help more than defense right now.

Ask yourself when was this team at its best? When we ran the ball.. took pressure of dak and didn’t have him throw 40 times a game. Having a run game also kept the defense off the field… and traveled in all types of weather.

It isn’t a sexy pick…. But putting a mauler like this next too Tyler smith and cooper bebee is nice. If we can capitalize and not mess up the next couple days.
