The Brits were LOSING to the ****'s long before we showed up. They wouldn't listen to Churchill, and it dang near cost them their country.
Least known about? WWI wasn't fought during the Dark Ages.
Okay, you do know that if England had fell we would have fallen also right ?
Hell you need to thank Russia, if not for them German would be our national language.
It was a collaborative effort from many countries, Canada, Australia, French Nationalists, China and so on.
I thought is twas really cool that the NFL did that, had no problems with it at all.

The Brits were fighting the ****'s long before the US even entered the war. We should thanx them just as much for that.
Oh, I didn't mean to be disrespectful about the poppy's meaning. I thought that was pretty cool. However, I do tire of the angst and disrespect America receives from across the pond at times, especially from those southeast of England. We saved their tookuseseseses.
But I have no problem with this at all. In fact, I wish more was said about World War I, which is one of the least known-about wars in history.
I mean knowledge among the general population. Just consider how many movies you see about World War II compared to World War I, the Civil War, or Vietnam. You just hear so little about it.
is that similar to how France receives disrespect from Americans despite the fact they saved your rebellion?![]()

Both teams wore them, and they didn't have a choice. But they were in England, and it was appropriate.
I still think they should thank us ad nauseum for saving them from Hitler.
