Lovie Smith

That doesn't exactly happen every day. You talk like we should have done it last week. Plus that would require a bit of research... why don't you look it up since you seem to be so intrigued?

I know it doesnt happen every day, infact its quite remarkable that it even happened last night. The odds of that happening once have to be through the roof, you have to see where Smith was coming from when he made that comment.

Then why act like somehow the Cowboys are worse on special teams or defense because of that "remarkable" feat? IMO it's largely a product of luck, and to have it all happen in one night doesn't mean they're better.

They may in fact be better, I'm not saying we're better... Just saying this little instance doesn't mean they're better. There are other arguments more pertinent to proving they're better.

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) -- Six turnovers, 3 points on offense, and somehow the Chicago Bears are still unbeaten.

Somehow, some way, the Bears rallied from 20 points down at halftime and escaped with a 24-23 victory in Arizona on Monday night, leaving the shellshocked Cardinals to ponder yet another excruciating late-game collapse.

"Sometimes, when you're a team of destiny, things like that happen," Chicago coach Lovie Smith said.

:puke:

Give me a friggin break. Now they're a team of destiny? I'm really starting to not like this team.

Destiny?

Settle down, Lovie, you played the freakin' Cardinals.

When will you be "Destined" to play a good team?

whats wrong with what he said? he may really believe it

and honestly for them to win the way they did, makes you think that maybe it IS their year...not many teams win games like that

you think we'd beat a team (any team) after having 6 turnovers, less than 200 yds offense, complete less than 38% of your passes and not score a single offensive TD? THEN on top of that the best kicker in football blows a 40 yd fg to win it?

Yeah, I'd be feeling pretty good about my prospects as well

I don't think that's happened to us in awhile, even when we were a horrible team lol

16 games seasons are long...it happens

we lost at home in 1992 to the lowly Rams...we lost to the lowly Falcons in 1993...we lost TWICE to the Skins in 1995

its amazing they could play the way they did offensively and have even a remote chance of winning...most teams in this league would have been blown out by 4 or 5 tds had they duplicated the Bears offense last night

They blew out the team that represented the NFC in the Super Bowl last year and is currently leading their division, but no, they arent good.

idk, it was the Cards, their D played out of their mind, but despite a few series, their O was pathetic and kept giving the ball right back

but I have to give props to that Bears D, they're really good

Everyone thought the Bills were a team of destiny back in '92. Look how that SB turned out. Score was 52-17.

Where did I say there weren't good?

And they beat the seahawks when they played w/o the NFL MVP.

Kind of puts a dent in their armor, I'd say.

They still aren't no team of "Destiny". If they are, the other 31 teams in the NFL might as well forfeit the season since the superbowl winner has already been determined.

Exactly.

I have a habit of putting spin doctors on my ignore list (they're a waste of time to debate with). Looks like this clown is headed there as well.

I was saying the Seahawks werent good saracasticly in response to Racks comment that the Bears havent played a decent opponet yet.

Lovie needs to be careful about providing bulletin board material.

I'm sorry, but this statement ust wouldn't get me riled up at all.

Was it kind of weird that he said it, especially this soon in the season? I can buy that.

But he didn't refer to a specific team, and the fact that it happened this early in the season will probably mean it will be forgotten when the Bears play in the playoffs...

I just don't see this being put up on a Bulletin board for any team and them saying, "HE SAID THEY'RE A TEAM OF DESTINY!! HOW DARE HE??"
