Just finished Super Metroid for the first time. Didn't really appreciate this game back in the day. An amazing game and a strong strong recommendation for anyone who hasn't played it or beaten it.

Also finished Metroid Zero Mission. Next on the docket are Metroid Fusion, and then the Zelda series (starting with A Link to the Past, currently in the dark world).

ALTTP is my favorite Zelda. I got a 3DS pretty much for the sole purpose of playing the sequel (A Link Between Worlds).

Love the Metroid games as well. I wish they would do a new one in the old style and not as a FPS. I know there was the one on the Wii and I did finish it, but it was clunky and included a terribly frustrating implementation of FPS as well.

How far in the Zelda series are you going to go?

Did you play the GBA games?

IMO, Super Metroid is the finest game ever made. Great story, great music, lots of fun. I still play it even though I've beaten it numerous times.

1. Link to the Past
2. Links Awakening
3. Ocarina of Time
4. Wind Waker
5. Maybe Twilight Princess
Don't think you should skip Majora's Mask, which comes after Ocarina of Time. It was a great followup.

I only ever liked the Zelda(s) from nes (even Zelda 2 despite it being wildly unpopular) and ALTTP. ALLTP was by far my favorite one.

I never could get into the n64 ones and I never had the opportunity to play any of the GBA or newer generation (GameCube, wii, etc)

You should add super Mario rpg and earthbound to your list as well :)

I never have finished Majora's mask. I still have it (on a Gamecube disc), but I got tired of having to do so much in a certain time period and then having to do it over if I failed.

Don't be a wimp. Go finish that great game. You have nothing better to do. As a matter of fact, start right after the game tonight.

LOL...I have like 15 Games I own that I haven't even started, including about 10 that are still in the wrapper, some for more than 2 years. I wish I had more time...stupid job.

For some reason I'm just not interested in Majora's Mask. Even with Ocarina of Time it took the perfect storm to go back and start playing it. That might change if I get a Wii U, but I'll really need to fall in love with Ocarina of Time in order to want to play Majora's Mask, and as much fun as I'm having with it, that just hasn't happened yet.
