I was one of the people saying Whitehead didn't belong on the roster if he wasn't trusted to return kicks, but it looks like he is now. He definitely has the wiggle make things happen like Dwayne Harris did.

Another point on Harris is that he was on the Practice Squad for a year and didn't really blossom as a return man until he had an offseason in the weight room to fill out his frame (plus the coaching time to be completely comfortable with the playbook). Whitehead seems like one of those guys also, let him add some good weight to his frame and he could step up to the next level exactly like Dwayne Harris did.

Whitehead is faster than Harris BTW, he was a 4.4 guy at the combine compared to a 4.55 for Harris.

He's a guy that, if I remember correctly, doesn't have the 40 time of a real burner, but he sure does look fast on the football field. Man, he runs by people like they're standing still.

Little Lucky is coming on in admirable fashion -- good for him. He's a guy from a small school that simply took time to develop as he now appears to have managed to accomplish. This team definitely has needed someone like him to step up with Dwayne Harris having been awarded to the Giants. Here's hoping his development and the good results continue. He's looking good.

It's not totally about 40 speed that counts, although I wouldn't be surprised if he's faster than his previous 40 times suggest. Quickness means even more than long speed in football. He has it.

I wish they made players time the forty in full pads. There is such a difference some for when the pads are put on, while some it doesn't effect them as much.

I'm just happy with this development as a returner. Not expecting much from him as a receiver though.

Just imagine what a difference it made decades ago, when players had to don the heavy high top shoes with the metal cleats. Now, THERE'S something that had an effect (ahem) -- so I hear, lol.

Offense would be so much better with Dunbar in the mix. We need more speed overall.
