Luke Musgrave at 26?

Jake Furguson is going to be our starter next year, that's why we didn't address it in FA. I highly doubt we take a TE in the first and I will be really disappointed if we do. Ferguson has a ton of upside. If we take a TE it will be in the 3rd+ rounds.
Be prepared to be disappointed. It’s already been leaked and we all know these names that come out strong on draft day are the likely pick. They are back to settling on a player they know will be there instead of reacting to the best player left or being ready to move around. They did this with Taco, LVE, and Smith.

I agree w all of this.

I don’t think Dallas will take Mayer if he’s there. But I am not certain of that. So yes, let’s hope he goes before we pick.
To me it makes total sense that Laporta and Musgrave are getting talked about because I don’t look at Mayer and think he’s any better than any of them.

They all look like round 2 players to me. Bad round 1 value. If anything at least Musgrave looks like he has high high upside.

So from my perspective I don’t see Mayer being a great round 1 pick but Laporta being a awful pick because I think they’re close and Laporta might be a little better.

I’ve said this for weeks now though.

Musgrave at 26….ugh…rather reach for Avila or take literally any of the other top 3 TEs

I believe in Fergy as well, but there's been a ton of smoke we are looking at TE. It may have more to do with BPA

Well, we can hope that Laporte is off the board? Lol

I guess I will trust their drafting process as I have been wrong before but I'm not going to stay up until 11pm to watch Dallas draft the next David Lafluer.

That doesn't sound very trustful lol

I've traded down to 35-40 and grabbed LaPorta in many mocks the past 10 days. Hope we get a trade down tonight.

Maybe, but it seemed like a given that the Cowboys were going to take Chaisson in 2020....until they didn't. Seemed obvious the Cowboys needed to move up for a CB in 2021....until they didn't. I would just sit back and enjoy the show. The Cowboys in recent years have basically just played their board and let the draft fall to them. I'm not expecting much different this season.

I'll take LaPorta all day: Musgrave falls to the ground with barely any contact like a late-career Witten.
That being said, I'd rather have a oline wrecker on defense. A menacing presence in the middle if there is one or a DE if we must.

I don't watch college ball... But, I don't really think we should hit a TE or RB in the first round. You normally can find them later on.

Then again... we are stuck with Dak for awhile. So maybe taking the best security blanket possible is a good idea.

michael mayer,notre dame.
if he's gone and te is still the target...dalton kincaid, utah.

Our guys/gals nail it mostly. Taco, Hill, LVE, Tyler Smith, Sam Williams to name a few. We knew the pick hours before it happened
i wonder if kincaid was the pick but buffalo got him. i knew something would cause them not to take a TE at 26. not to say told you so. i think had they both been on the board. kincaid was the pic.

Nope. Buffalo outsmarted themselves. Dallas wasn't going TE. Listen to the presser.
