All the OL experience means he should help these guys block at TE. Wonder about the route running tho.

It was more of a joke, but have you seen their offense the past few years? It hasn't been great. Of course that's not on the TE coach, but..he was part of it.

In all fairness to Linda, he didn’t call offensive plays.

Who you got to replace him. If Jarwin gets more snaps this year then kool. I like him. But the big knock is they cant block. You will see action with the TE this year because MM uses them.

My thought hopefully with MM.

As Witten slowed..TE became more block than catch.

In a modern offense..TE is an offensive weapon to be exploited.

It has to be featured. We feature Zeke and Cooper and Dak.

Our OL is probably along with the running game going to take a different direction than our offense has been.

We will pass to run and play action to make the defense slow the pass rush. I also think we will see less shotgun and more under center snaps to disguise who gets the ball.

We have a good OL..I never have understood why the TE has to block so much.

We have 3-4 Pro Bowl OL and given the rest..

that should more than enough be sufficient to block unless its 8+ in the box.

If it is..then Dak must throw against 1 on1 coverage and win that way. Other teams believe Dak cannot win if he has to stepup.

So far..they have been right. Stop Zeke, you stop Dak, too.

If he can't get it done there is little hope.

True but blocking out of the TE in McCarthy system is not as critical as it was in the pro set formation Dallas has been running.

I really hope we keep some of the common and successful plays from the pro set they are used to. Mix it up.

I think there are things you can use out of it but the formation for the most part will be different, could be by being more spread out that Dallas running game can become more effective. We will have to see. I think majority of the time will be 3 WR sets with TE and RB. Fewer bunch formations and fewer 2 TE sets. Other teams who use a version of WCO are still able to run effectively. Even GB ranked higher in their run offense than in their pass offense.

In my opinion, I do not think there is a more selfish guy on the team than Jason Witten.

Sucks for Jarwin and Schultz. Work all year, and then have an old guy who abandoned the team come in and be gifted everything.

Part of the reason Garrett isn't here anymore....I got a feeling the house cleaning will continue by getting rid of Garrett's guys....Witten, Lee, Conner Williams, Bryon Jones, Xavier Woods, Anthony Brown.

We can only hope they are all gone. Except Conner Williams.

That guy was screwed by the Garrett Regime the moment he was drafted. Hope McCarthy can redeem him and use him properly.
