LVE full practice

It doesn't matter...Jerry judges 1st round draft picks on whether they start the season as the starter to justify that money. Obviously, Jalon is not going to let him start or play much this year for that matter.
1st round draft picks have to prove that they deserve that 1st round selection and so far LVE has not come close. In fact, no one has noticed him so far this season in TC or pre-season.
Dude, wait for the season to start. His rookie season at that.

2nd year and Taco's still not starting....What does that tell you?
That Randy Gregory won 1RDE.

Also, LVE isn't 2nd year. So this is a bit of a weird comp. Also, I am not talking Charlton, nor is he a LB

You're a good poster, LittleD, but you're reaching, mon frere

Loved the pick and got his Jersey like a month ago. Hope hes as good as I think he can be with lee getting older.

I think this kid is going to be just fine. Richards said he’s real humble, and Lee has taking him under his wing. Vander said Lee is always teaching him and that he looks up to him. I think when you got a kid like that, who’s willing to learn the game and do the work, with the kind of skills he has? I think LB is one unit that we’ll see big improvement from. I mean dang, this kid can cover sideline to sideline. Add Lee,and Smith and Joe Thomas? I feel much better than I have in a long time with our front now.

My guess is he Needs atleast two full seasons to be able to start but we'll see. He just learned the Position about a year ago...

You really dont need to "start" at DE in our scheme. We dont play anyone much more then 700 snaps. Lawrence played 701 last year. Lawrence, Gregory and Chartlon will all likely play between 600-700 snaps at DE

Crawford is listed at RDE on the depth chart, but he is supposed to be a DT this year. He may still see some snaps at DE. But I dont think he will keep Gregory or Charlton out of the game much if at all

I'm glad to see that LVE is back at practice. I'm wondering if he's to be used at all for a while yet. He didn't get much in the way of practice time in camp before spraining his ankle. Here's hoping the staff sees fit to get him some live action soon, even if he doesn't see any vs. Carolina. I'm hoping they'll make it a point to let him get some much-needed experience soon. It wouldn't help his development to be left sitting on the bench indefinitely.

Right now Crawford is a better player than Taco by a long shot. I am hoping that Taco improves significantly in his second year.

Ya, he started preseason slow, then came on

Then started the season slow, then came on

He had a pretty typical season for a rookie first round DE

There wasn't enough "coming on" for Taco. Last year wasn't much of a positive rate of return on a first round pick.

I have low expectations for the kid, so it doesn't matter to me. We will have to address linebacker again soon.
