I like to read McClays quotes about players he's excited about in the draft. He called Lawrence a QB heat seeker. It took a few year but he's pretty good. He called LVE a turnover machine and when I watched his highlights that's pretty much what he looked like.
 
I know during the draft a lot of folks wanted R. Evans from Alabama. He missed all of preseason and will miss the 1st game of the year. But still have to give them a year or two before anyone is declared a bust.

1st round draft picks have to prove that they deserve that 1st round selection and so far LVE has not come close. In fact, no one has noticed him so far this season in TC or pre-season.

Marinelli said from the beginning that they would like to have 3 players (Jaylon, Vander Esch and Lee) at 2 positions (MLB and WLB). He said they want to get to the playoffs healthy at LB and then mentioned Lee. In other words they would like to work Vander Esch into the mix and limit Lee's snaps. That likely means Jaylon would play WLB with Vander Esch at MLB if Lee is out.

Right... If they were thinking of trading draft picks for ET, then why not trade up for Derwin James? Everyone seems to think we need a safety and we are loaded at LB.
Makes some sense but, the FO fumbled on the 5 yard line again.

We weren't loaded at the time at LB, and we are always one play away from seeing the last of Lee. I don't care how good your Safety is if he is the one that has to stop the running game then it's already over.

Taco quiet. That is fine. LVE will make a couple mistakes. That is expected. Long term I am hoping for a bigger stronger Lee with better health. We shall see.

Both LVE and Armstrong will surprise many knowledgeable fans. I will not be a bit surprised if they move Taco inside on 3rd and bring in Armstrong.
