Tell Mickey to go to hell...........

I think we will see some free agents sign over the weekend, the team knows if they allow to test the open market, they will probably depart.Three more days........surprised we have heard anything about Gregory's neg
One of my bold predictions is LVE returns on a one year deal some time around the draft.I am confident that they with either resign Lve or another fa starter at the position. They will not head into the draft needing an immediate starter. Certaintly could draft a future starter and improve their depth, but they will cover themselves. You would think, he and Wagner will have Quinn pushing the team to sign.
It's very possible he come back, he actually played real well down the stretch. One of my bold predictions is LVE returns on a one year deal some time around the draft.
I don't think there's going to be high interest in him, and if he is to take a prove it deal, he may as well not have to move. It's very possible he come back, he actually played real well down the stretch.
Problem is, they do not know that they have a capable starter in Cox yet and he is coming off of major surgery. He didn't even take 1 LB snap last season, just played as a big nickel in the red zone.I don't think there's going to be high interest in him, and if he is to take a prove it deal, he may as well not have to move.
However all it takes is one team to decide he was misused etc....
Nothing to do with his play, but for me, if you have a capable replacement (Cox) you spend the money elsewhere. Even a cheap one year deal would be 5-8m.

No doubt, and I agree....but when you use draft only to find starters, you can't really brush off reasonably high picks as someone you cant count on.Problem is, they do not know that they have a capable starter in Cox yet and he is coming off of major surgery. You a rat for getting me benched for a week. How was your involuntary vacation boy?

He was a day 3 pick. His trajectory is to first become a strong special teams player and a viable backup. Push to become a starter by yr 3 seems reasonable. No doubt, and I agree....but when you use draft only to find starters, you can't really brush off reasonably high picks as someone you cant count on.
It's not ideal and I don't agree with it, but this is what they do.

PFF projections sound a bit too lowHe's the real deal....no question about that (LOL)

He’s a complete playerYea I know .......I'm thinking closer to $10M min
We’ve had plenty of starters who were not high picksNo doubt, and I agree....but when you use draft only to find starters, you can't really brush off reasonably high picks as someone you cant count on.

He forced/recovered two Zeke fumblesWho are the other FA LBs in that price range?
True but many had him as a higher grade than the 4th. People were doing cartwheels to get him that late.He was a day 3 pick. His trajectory is to first become a strong special teams player and a viable backup. Push to become a starter by yr 3 seems reasonable.
Yes, we have. Problem is, they have been guys like X Woods who were a notch below JAG.We’ve had plenty of starters who were not high picks
I get why they don’t know if he can be a starter till he shows he can be a starter
He’s coming off an injury and was injured in college so I think they probably feel about him like I do
He’s a good player IF he can stay healthy
But if he was the starter we still need more LB anyway
They aren’t signing a top tier LB though
The book on Cox coming in was an excellent coverage linebacker, but a terrible run defender. He may just be more of a nickel player.True but many had him as a higher grade than the 4th. People were doing cartwheels to get him that late.
Bottom line is we need dudes like him to come through.
IMO the key to this season is about the guys from last year that aren't named Parsons taking a massive leap.
He is a tweener no doubt. The book on Cox coming in was an excellent coverage linebacker, but a terrible run defender. He may just be more of a nickel player.
