Reading between the lines, it sounds more like concern for Revel. It was not unexpected for a rookie who played very little in College and had no offseason whatsoever in year 1, but he was not good last year. We absolutely need another CB regardless of who you want to slot where

I figured that's what we were going for when we signed Durant. Thompson also has been mentioned, by Parker, as having the ability to play the nickel slot.

Especially that guy. Id rather take Kionte Scott, Malik Muhammad, or Chandler Rivers in later rounds.

I'd kind of like to wait until the third round this year to take a cornerback. Give Revel and Bland a chance before we start looking for their replacements, since we can't fill every draft need with first-rounders. I'd address ILB and OLB/DE with the first-rounders, possibly trade down to get another Day 2 pick and throw DT/DE in there as well.

Ideally, we could afford to upgrade the position and not just have to count on Revel proving that last year was a fluke or Bland proving that he can regain his health and his form. But we're not in a position to do that without neglecting more needy positions.

Noooooo. We do not need Bland on an island. Slot is his best position.

From what I hear bland doesn't even like playing slot. He does it because he is told to.

The coaches know this also, which is one of the reasons it is being talked about in the FO.

If that's true, I don't get why they want to keep him on the outside. He was a much better player inside as a slot DB.

This organization is completely incompetent. They lose one of the best nickel CBs in Jourdan Lewis, don't replace him, and now they're "looking for one." I loathe the Joneses.

I think Bland is much better in the slot for what its worth. In his rookie yr (2022) Bland mostly played slot/nickel back. After J.Lew was lost for the year he became the starter (8 gm). He had 5 ints and looked to be a 5th rd steal...2023 confirmed it.

As a fan it was really cool to see him break the pick 6 record against the Commodes! Now, two short years later, he's considered by many to be a bum. Multiple foot surgeries and a (Jerry Jones' Special) contract overpay seems to have turned several fans against him.

But i've liked him as a player from the start and will continue to back him. It's gonna be a major challenge recovering from the surgeries, but i choose to remain positive.

I understand that hope and positive thoughts are not enough to get it done, but that's all i got.
