Both of them. If Rod ran a flexible scheme I wouldn't mind either........just not at 4

Hargreaves played a lot of cover-3 and cover-2 zone at Florida. You're right about Alexander though. He is predominantly a man cover guy. He's not as good in space. Hargreaves is elite in space, finding the ball and breaking on it.

I think you're going to see a lot more mix and matching coverage next year than you've seen the last two.

Rod is old as hell. My only hope is he knows its his last year so he better stop being stubborn

Well, considering he has never blitzed, done much slanting or stunting on the line or played man-to-man, and he did all of those extensively this season, I think stubborn is the last word I would use. I think it's more a matter of not having the guys to fit his scheme and how he likes to play.

He blitzed more on Monday night vs the Commanders than he did all year and the defense looked great, then he stopped again.

Like I said, he blitzed and stunted more than he ever has in his career this year. He also ran seveal different base defenses against different opponents including the 3-3-5 against New England and a BEAR front several times. He showed that he is willing to adapt accordingly.
