Fair enough. We just have a different outlook and expectations. I can appreciate that.

I do believe there are things that need to be done on the field, as well. DBs still magically transport themselves from five yards away to the receiver when the ball is in the air. That's always bugged me.
Yea, there are def some kinks, I'm not arguing with that. I always think LBs cover WAY too much ground in coverage too. It's virtually impossible to complete a pass between a safety and MLB if the MLB is a good one like Urlacher.

They really need to up the presentation. The game is boring as heck.

I will say though, the last one, Franchise mode took a HUGE step forward... FINALLY. I love the preseason now, finding diamonds in the rough as UDFA's, etc. FA bidding is a nice addition, and the new scouting system will actually lead to busts if you don't do your homework, and sometimes even if you do.

For madden 13...I'd like to see retro players/teams...have always wanted to play as Barry Sanders

You know what, I've always thought it would be cool if they made a game with only superbowl winning teams. For example, you can choose the '95 cowboys to play last year's Giants. I know some teams would complain because they have never won (Eagirls) but they can pound sand. Sadly though, Barry Sanders would not be a playable character. Although Barry is playable on Madden 10 if you do the fantasy draft on Franchise.

I agree with blowing the whole thing up and starting over. Last year was the first time I finally had no interest in getting the game.

I'm done with the Madden franchise. I buy it, play about 10 games and then it would collect dust if my son didn't play it with his friends.

Plus the players' uniforms in NBA 2K12 are free and flowing with movement. Shorts look like shorts. Jerseys get wrinkled and shift. They're not the static pasted on unis of Madden. And I don't even like basketball.

To be fair, football uni's don't have a lot of give. NBA uni's are free flowing and baggy which only make sense. If anything the jerseys in the NFL should never flow because everyone's tightening up as much as possible to avoid holding and grabbing.

That is true, but my point is that they're separate elements from the player. If Madden instituted physics where the pads and jerseys were independent, it would look much more real. We could get pass popping out over the collar and torn fabric effects. Helmets could get knocked off. It's just that extra touch of the small things that would make a world of difference in presentation that Madden has neglected the last few years.

Yes I would love to see shoulder pads sticking out over jerseys after contact.

One thing that has been annoying about madden forever is the dominant players don't play that much better then the regular players outside of QB.

You can field a squad of all 70's WR's and put up monster passing games assuming they are fast. The fact that the player can't catch as well or make one handed plays barely even matters. And you can have fast CB's who are in the low 70's check a Andre Johnson for most of the game, when he would really be abused in real life.

Players like Ware/Harrison/Suh should dominate Olineman but often can be single blocked and not even get close to the QB.

They don't have a dominant feel for great players vs regular guys. There is barely any difference playing as Tom Brady vs a QB in the low 80's.

I was amazed how they re-worked the whole draft trading aspect. Let's say the old one it was easy to get multiple picks in the top 5 by constantly trading picks over and over. In the new one you can literally trade down one spot in the first and get a 3rd round pick or 3rd+4th. Trading players for picks is a boon. I traded the 84 Free for two firsts and a 2nd. Major difference is there is no trading up with just picks, PERIOD.

They still have it where you can edit any players position which I dislike. You can sign a 65 overall olb, change him to DE and his overall increases like 10 points and trade him for a pick. Lol

I won't lie, I have done this a couple years in franchise when I would get frustrated. Another bug that bothers me is when your QB misses a potential TD pass when your reciever is wide open. I know this really happens (See last Cowboys-Giants game) but it happens too often for a professional QB.
