The suction blocking isn't there from what I've seen. Now, keep in mind, in the NFL it's tough to get off a block, so there's a bit of realism to that, but I'm able to get off blocks if I use a finesse move and change direction.

What I especially like is that there's finally a big difference in players based on ratings, especially if you turn the difference meter to 0.

Oh, in regards to the suction blocking (Still there) I wasn't referencing detaching from blocks once initiated, etc. but rather when Defender is merely in the vicinity and the OL blocking animation takes over "sucking" the defender into the block though the defender wasn't physically aligned to be taken on in that manner (like a couple yards to the left or right, but then being centered to the middle of the block once the OL suction takes effect). Mainly I see this with LBs and Safeties when defending the run & screens. I can cheese around it, but that's more of what I'm growing tired of; not playing realistically and forced compensating, etc.

Setting the threshold to 0 has advantages but defenders also take terrible angles and is much easier to round out the play to the sideline. I usually set it lower (15-25 as opposed to 0) just because I would wrap around defenders who seem more hesitant to enter tackling animations; allowing you to hit the corner and turn up field with too much success.

You are correct in that the star players are emphasized via gameplay. Top WRs are usually the primary targets on 3rd down, Murray is the new Jerome Bettis on there (he must have broken 5 tackles on a long run in my second game against the Eagles). I do like this year's deep ball passing much more as well and heard they are going to patch up the constant career goal reminders due to the clutter on screen between plays. EA basically told owners to wait until the patch is released before starting their Franchise modes due to a problem in the progression system when simming (OL).

Good back and forth:) Operation Sports Forum is a decent place for discussion, tips, sliders, etc. as well.

I just like the play results a lot more with this version. Seems like the result, good or bad, is more a result of what I did. They also fixed the sacks and quarterback play in the pocket, which is really nice.

I get that feeling on Offense more so than the D (secondary has improved though) but hear your point in terms of influencing the play on the field. What are you referring to in terms of fixing the sacks? I know from previous versions that pass rush predominately had to come from the LE and LDT? This year I do notice I can manually control Gregory from the RE spot and generate pressure/sacks which is definitely an improvement as I usually had to place Ware as the LE or LOLB to get any pass rush production.

Last year, there were just too many of them. Quarterbacks would take them instead of throwing the ball away, or he'd be throwing the ball, then magically tuck it as he was getting hit. Now the ball comes out wobbly or off-target, or he steps away from pressure. I'm not very good, but I'd get 10+ every game because of brain-dead plays.

Before last year, the problem was the opposite, they'd get rid of everything when a sack should have occurred.

Now, I'm getting a few a game in realistic scenarios, although lesser QBs tend to "chicken out" or hold the ball too long.

Oh definitely hear you there. I did notice one play similar to the 2013 version where Bradford threw it into the ground (instead of sack/fumble) when I blindsided him. But I do recall what you are speaking of now and probably will notice now that I'm looking for it, etc.

How about EA "forgetting" to add the stars to the end zone walls in AT&T stadium in '16? Anyone else notice this? I'm just a casual player but this irks the living you know what out of me. EA tends to do that though.

HB dives/counters give you alot of flexibility (can go inside/out) but mainly I would recommend not hitting the sprint button if running inside, instead use the R stick to "wiggle" through for yardage. Only hit sprint once you have cleared the Oline or are trying to pick up a few extra yards falling forward when sprinting into a defender, etc.

They don't allow you to resign players on 1 year deals but you will have the opp for first dibs when you're in that off season stage where you can resign your players bf letting them go to FA, etc. Yeah Hardy is a monster, esp at DT. Collins progresses very fast as well and think that's just a contract glitch related to Dez not being resigned when the game was finished, etc.

Have an issue running the ball? Do sweeps and pitches to start the game.

By the second half, the defense spreads out wide, to defend the outside run game, and now the inside game becomes more effective.
