Seconded.

It's been awhile since I created this thread (2007)...

I like Madden, always have, and I always enjoy it. There are glitches and odd things in it, like every game really, but I still always have a blast with the game.

I think that whole AI thing they push, as being so great, is a real joke though cause it obviously doesn't help the computer be any tougher or harder to beat. You can put their AI all the way up, or play on All-Madden, and still beat the computer by 21+ routinely.

It's just a fun game to have a nice time with and it will never be anything more than that. If you want to have the challenge of a real football game go out with some friends and play some football.

It's the only way that you're going to play a game that's even close to be like the real thing.

I'm going to have to buy it for my Computer, along with a controler, so I can start playing it online.

Wow, I just assumed that since last year it didn't go to the PC, that it wouldn't this year. I'll have to get it if it's indeed released for the PC.

Because they never change anything substantial, and every single year there are glaring bugs that never get fixed. Customers ask for the same changes year after year, and it never gets done.

I play the game for franchise mode and if you look at the franchise mode in Madden vs say NBA 2k9, it's really a joke how bad Madden is and that's before you start getting into the glitches and bugs in Madden.

Features that NFL 2k5 had, 5 years ago, Madden still doesn't have today.

I don't hate Madden, I hate that there's no alternative.

Every game has glitches, I've encountered very few glitches or bugs playing Madden.

For me, the vast majority of the glitches or bugs that I encounter with Madden is while playing online. In my opinion, there are never really that many, but the ones I've come across are very bothersome.

One thing I would like to see happen for all online console games is better bandwidth connection while playing head-to-head. It's grinds my gears to either be winning OR playing catch-up and the connection falls out. I don't care if it's Madden, MK vs DCU or any game. It's very aggravating.

NBA 2k9 is so full of bugs and glitches that its laughable to compare the two. NBA 2k9 has the better franchise mode, but Madden blows it away as far as representing the sport played on the field.

Next year's Madden is going to be absolutely ridiculous. They are making so many improvements to it, it's insane.

As a madden fan for life and someone who spends 10 hours a week playing the game I would love to hear about some of the improvements.

We had a down year, but there were players in our roster that deserve more recognition.

Is this really "recognition"?

I could care less about the "honor" and if you are into the curse thing, prefer it to remain completely Cowboy-less.

Vince Young had a good season when he was on the cover.

Ray Lewis had a good season too.
Vince young was on the cover for the 2008 edition of Madden. In 2008 Vince young had a mental breakdown and only started 1 game while being benched for Kerry Collins.

Ray Lewis was on the cover of the 2005 edition of Madden. In 2005 Ray Lewis broke his wrist and only played 6 games(second fewest games he's played in any season) and had his 2nd worst season of his career.

Yeah but wouldn't that actually be the seasons after they were on the cover? Cause Madden is always a year ahead of the season you're actually in.

So like this year is Madden 2010 when it's only 2009.

So Young was on the cover of 08 but that game came out in August of 07, so that would be the 2007 season when he wasn't too bad.

So for Young and Ray, just going by what you've posted there, they had their injury seasons the season following being on the cover.

Oh I agree it's cursed, without a doubt. The guys who hit the cover always seem to hit a bad patch of injuries. It's why I'm glad no big time Cowboys players have ever been put on that thing.

I know this last season they tried to 'end the curse' talk by putting Favre on it thinking because he is the Ironman and wouldn't miss any games it would put an end to that talk.

They'll attempt to point out he missed no time the year he was on it, and obviously none the year after since he's now retired, but what they'll fail to mention is how badly he played while being badly banged up for the second half of the season he was on the cover.

His shoulder was so screwed up last year that it's pretty clear the curse was in full effect.

It isn't always about the same season..it's also the season that follows..Ray Lewis is the only one who has not been cursed...YET.

Naw, got to disagree with that one. It's always about the same year for the coverboy, and those 2 players did not have terrible seasons.

Do you think the Bret Farve was cursed, or do you think Bret was being Bret?

Two More Madden Cover Candidates Revealed

You won't believe one of them.

by Nate Ahearn

US, April 14, 2009 - As part of its gradual unveil of the nine candidates for the Madden NFL 10 cover, EA Sports revealed two more nominees yesterday.

Matt Cassel has astonishingly made his way onto the elite list of nine athletes despite being traded to the Kansas City Chiefs after leading the Patriots to an 11-5 season last year and being the butt of oh-so-many jokes in the process. The other cover candidate is DeMarcus Ware which, to me, makes much more sense.

Check the official Madden site every Monday at 3 PM PST leading up to the official reveal on April 24 for additional cover candidate reveals.
