I'm just curious how grass stains got on D Ware's back?

Maybe he's at a natural grass turf field, and got involved in a play that involved grass stains on his jersey.......?

May 16th they release info on franchise mode & superstar mode.

The two modes of the game that actually make me like Madden. Of course, they have a terrible system in place anyway. Franchise mode right now is horrible and Superstar is even worse.

Who did these ratings? Madden 06 was one of the best games made...07 was the only one better.

If I remember correctly, they were compiled from various gaming sites. The final number that you see is the average from all of those sites.

I've kinda come to the conclusion that people turned away from Madden when they introduced the passing cone. That thing was absolutely awesome...I think that's probably where the discrepancy, at least for me, comes from. I wish they never would have gotten rid of it.

They need to update the actual GAME-PLAY and not the graphics, the graphics are already pretty damn good for a sports video game, why wont they add new features, add stuff on to the features they have. NFL head coach would cool, but they made an entire new game for that. Create your own play would be pretty sweet.Superstar mode just sucks. Franchise mode hasn't changed, everything basically stays the same every year and I have bought the last few but if they don't change something other than stitching I wont be buying this one. Not that they care. There are many good ideas I have heard from fans that they should really consider but they don't have to since they are the NFL video gaming monopoly.

Well looks like the creative director Ian Cummings and several high-level development team members are stepping down after 3 years with Madden. http://www.pastapadre.com/2011/04/1...-ian-cummings-confirms-departure-from-tiburon

Today was Ian Cummings’ last day at EA Sports and he has posted a quick blog announcing the move. It includes mentions of Madden 12 having improved Franchise and Superstar modes and that presentation has received an “overhaul”. Though certainly Cummings has received a lot of flack from the community for a product that hasn’t lived up to expectations...

I think where Madden has failed is by not listening to the community. Ian would shoot down any complaints on his Twitter. I am like everyone else, i want a better game. Not sure 12 is going to deliver that, in fact i would be worried after hearing this news.

Greed. Plain and simple. The NFL would make money for the exclusive rights as well as a percentage of total sales of the product. I found this interesting, yet old, article stating that the EA/NFL license has been extended through 2013 because of the impending lockout. The contract was originally set to expire in 2012.

Thanks for the great read!
