We know the answer to this, but being a slow time before the draft. The question from a fan was still asked.
There is some interesting info though from their answers.

We know it will be Pollard, but it was mentioned, can Jones give him a challenge.
Davis had some combine numbers right there with Zeke and Tony.

Or will it be a drafted RB?

The 1.55 split is good for being a RB. Davis is in a battle and he'll be ready if he comes out with a roster spot

Considering Pollard went down and Davis was not used in a do or die game at all should tell you everything you need to know.

no. Davis is not the answer. he doesn't come through the Dallas doors, drink the kool aid and some how become special. he is not special. he is a 3rd stringer. needs to remain a 3rd stringer. and I liek Davis. I just don't see all the love he gets from some people. more like wishing him to be something he is not.

Maybe he just wasn't ready yet? Running the ball is one thing. Picking up blocking assignments is totally different and takes time with many backs
Or it could be we over loaded Zeke because of history,
Davis couldn’t have done worse but since it was one game the blocking was probably a huge factor

In one of the Dallas fan sites, it was mentioned Davis ,Calloway and Ball are going to be cut after draft. ( likelihood because of the contract and what we will find in the draft )

could be true.

the element of change and surprise at rb can work to our advantage.

I look forward to seeing what he can become but I want him to have to work his way up. In other words, we've got Pollard on a franchise tag, draft a back and let him, Davis and Jones compete for the No. 2 and No. 3 spots. To just rely on him and Jones, especially with Pollard coming off injury, would be negligent.

Showed strong against pre season competition. A good and versatile spot action change of pace back. Complimentary piece.

*Looked over matched against 49er dee as did the starting running backs.

How could we know. Most of these coaches just go with what they are used to because it's safe. Zeke wasn't going to have a mental breakdown out there and we have no clue what Davis can do. And i'll never understand why these coaches do not have a plan on how to use every single player that dresses on game day. They should have had at least a hand full of plays for Davis based on what he does well and be willing to use them.
