how about 2019? The rookie class combined to make one start, and Trysten Hill, the Cowboys' first-round pick, was a non-factor during his tenure here.

Nope people somehow can't remember but Trysten was a 2nd rounder because they didn't have a first round pick due to Cooper trade.

Attempting to answer the question posed by the title of this thread is difficult because we lack context on what the front office's goal is for this season. If the purpose is to play out this season without giving up the farm to Dak, Lamb, and Prescott, then their offseason moves sort of make sense. Revaluate at the end of the year and possibly move on from both Dak and McCarthy, and possibly trade Parsons. However, if their purpose is to go "All in" which they intimated before free agency and the draft, then their offseason has been a colossal failure as evidenced by not going after key free agents to shore up obvious deficiencies at the DT and RB positions; or aggressively trying to sign Dak and Lamb, or even Parson early.

2 very good answers on this question.

As how does it compare to other offseason. What looks like a good or bad offseason moves and draft, or do nothing approach as this year.
Can become the opposite once TC and the season starts.

Check out the answers.
I guess we’ll find out as the season progresses. They’re counting on a lot of their 2nd and 3rd year players to step up. Time will tell.

The goal every year is to win the Super Bowl.

They clearly aren't trying to win a SB this year. The obvious goal is to clear the books as much as possible of bad contracts and hopefully not create new bad contracts with guys that don't show up come playoff time.

New look next season ..

Thats what a good business man tries to make the fans believe.

And the dumb ones will follow. Each year.

But no critique: A country needs also good warriors if its goal is to spread war around the world. And you need dumb followers that obey your orders blindly.

Same in football.

All this article did was cement that Wil McClay is overrated....

 He and McCarthy will be the next scapegoats
