Living in the Phila/South Jersey area, it really came without shock that 74%of the readers of the local papers pick the Birds to win....drumroll please, not only Giants, but whomever is next all the way to winning, not getting there, but wining the SB....same fans 20 days ago who ask for Reid and McNabb to be run out of town...I knew they would beat the Vikes, but my hatred wont let me see them beating the Gmen. So besides the irony in reading the fans thoughts about "riding the wave of chemistry", it reminded me just how close, 1 game close to being in the same position.

So close, but so far!!!

You can say I am green with envy!!!

The Eagles are better than the Giants.

I expect a similar result to what took place a few weeks ago, when they went into New York and absolutely manhandled them.

Vegas has a bunch of BIG buildings that were build and are still being built because the majority is usually wrong.

yeah, my prediction was for the winner of the boys/eagles game to go to the bowl. As long as the steelers and eli dont win again im cool (tho i was pulling for him last year greatly, i cant take anyone else say hes better than peyton) The best case would be for ravens, chargers, or cardinals, panthers win. that way I dont have to hear eagles fans mouths, how great eli is, steelers wont have 6.

Hmmm ...there's truth in your words, but every once in a while, you can hear someone inside those BIG buildings shout out ...JACKPOT!

I expect a close game but in the end I think NY is better up front on both sides of the ball and that will end up being the difference as most game come down to who wins the line of scrimmage.

I feel the same way you do but for different reasons. I think the Eagles are better upfront on both sides of the ball. I don't think they can overcome the home-field advantage, the rested players and added preparation the Giants have going into this game. For that I picked the Giants in a close one.

I could easily see the Eagles beating NY this weekend. But, their make-up seems to be that they will always lay an egg after so many games (see Washington a few weeks back), so I don't know if they could win at NY and Carolina in consecutive weeks.

This happens every year after the first round when people are all excited about the teams they've just seen win... It's like they forget how the team that got the week off earned that bye.

Giants are the better team and will win, I think. Though it might be best for us if they Iggs won so they'd have to go to Carolina. That gives us the best chance of eliminating both NFCE teams from a chance at a ring. :)

Whatever happens, I know that the Eagles will not laydown and let the Giants roll over them!

I see you're prepared.

You're used to "moral victories" as an Eagles fan aren't you? :laugh2:

Whatever happens, I know that the Eagles' trophy case will still be empty at the end of this year.

Dialog that.

Very true. That is what keeps bringin' 'em back. The feeling of hope that this roll or pull of the lever might actually be the lucky one. Sadly, most of the time it is the 80 year old Grandma beside ya!

The most undeserving bunch of fans in the NFL.

Reid and DonDon were almost burned at the stake a month ago. But lookout cause crazy stuff started to happen>>>>

Bengals miss two FG's to win and tie instead.
Cowboys blow games against Pitt and Balt.
Eagles get smoked by Washington...Reid must go! In 3 inch headlines again.
Bucs let a JV team come into their house and win.
Chicago choked vs Texans.
Cowboys dont bother showing up in Philly.

How much luck does it take to make the playoffs? Quite a bit for Philly in 08.

Now they are a Super Bowl contender after playing a one dimensional team in the wildcard round?

The Giants must end this streak of luck. IM sick of it!!! Sick I tell ya!!!:banghead:

Sadly, I played with that playoff scenario generator too many times in November that my end result was Philly being the only wild card out of the NFC-East...and at the time, the logic I was using was their momentum. Philly looked pretty dominant in the 2nd half of that game against Minnesota and I expect them to roll that over into the Meadowlands - a place that they certainly haven't had trouble winning the past few seasons. Depending whether Carolina is as hot as they were at the end of the season, or if they just beat casually beat Arizona, I think Philly has a real shot to represent the NFC. It pains me to say that, but I never bet against McNabb/Westbrook. Remember, he only chokes in the championship - so history tells me that this divisional round he should be good to go! I do agree though with whoever said it before, it would be tough for Philly to win back to back road games in NY and then Carolina. Carolina, after all, is undefeated at home.
