Man I hate when the Cowboys play on Fox

The quality is really bad for their pregame show. But for the game seems good. If I had to rate:

1. NBC
2. FOX
3. ESPN
4. CBS

I swear this channel is the worst HD channel out of all the stations that show Football, it doesn't even look like HD broadcasting. I could go turn on my old tub tv and get just as good a picture as my Samsung 1080P tv, on this station. Anybody else hate this Fox broadcasting?

They got the minimum, 720p, all the tv experts can say what ever they want but there is a difference between 1080i and 720p, its visible in these football games.

My understanding is because Fox broadcasts in 720p whereas the other stations such as NFLN, ABC, CBS, and NBC use 1080i. I wonder if it would be better for me to watch the game with the setting on 720p rather than upconvert it to 1080i on my 50" Panasonic plasma.

Ha ha, yeah I absolutely need to do that. I'm more nervous about this game than anything else, but I sure hope to be celebrating with y'all when we win.

By the way here is a guide that shows that Fox will be broadcasting in 720p versus the Chargers game on CBS being broadcast in 1080i

Totally disagree. Fox blows away NBC and CBS when it comes to HD picture quality. Give me 720p any day.

That would make sense, seeing has how this station looks like it broadcasts in standard Def vs HD. I wonder why they choose to broadcast in 720 vs 1080? It must be a money thing

ABC uses 720p.

If you have a 720p tv then yes this station will look good to you, but to me this station looks bad, probably because my directTV settings is set for 1080 so it has to downscale to get this picture

I'm not sure if that's it or not, but FWIW, my Samsung is a 1080p....and the FOX broadcast looks very good.

Well, not all 720p is alike. For instance, I've found that FOX NFL games are much crisper than ABC college football broadcasts.
