 This'll be a first!

Dad and step-mom in Vegas. Sister and BIL at BIL's mother's place in Dimmitt TX. Three local cousins and their families all out-of-town, and four closest friends plus my girlfriend and their families, either OOT, or stranded in various parts of the country due to weather. :tantrum:

Soooooo, which one of you "local" CBZ brethren, wanna be the lucky ones to invite a real-life, award-winning, (not to mention tremendously handsome) chef to their holiday table??

Act fast, offers are pouring in at record pace :D

~ok, that last part was a lie~ :cry2:

Looks like I'm gonna be alone tonight anyways.... We got 6-10 inches of snow today, and there are 2 foot drifts on my front porch. Hoping this clears out so I can go see the family as planned tomorrow.

Whatever you do, don't type "it's so cold in the d original" into youtube.

Wanna call me? We can get into our Christmas PJ's and watch "It's A Wonderful Life" on NBC tonight.

Come to Tucson and I will take you out to eat rather than make you cook. I'll treat you to those Sonora style hot dogs I told you about and my favorite Mexican place.

I'm in the middle of it here in NE Oklahoma. Most highways are shut down. Blizzard warning til tomorrow. I wanted a White Christmas but not a White-Out Christmas!

Shoot, if I could get a flight out of D/FW or Love, I'd take you up on that!

My youngest niece and her BF just called me stranded at D/FW. They left Mexico on the 22nd, bound for Lubbock Tx.

They've since taken the scenic airport terminal tour of Phoenix, Denver and now D/FW.

They have a 7:45 am flight booked and she asked if I might be "interested" in driving out there, bringing them back here, THEN taking them BACK to D/FW in the morning for their flight?

Sadly, it was at that point my cell mysteriously went COMPLETELY dead! :muttley:

The offer is open for some day.

You should get that cell checked out. Sounds like a real issue. ;)

I think I will be by myself on Christmas day. I am fine with it. I will watch Christmas movies and do other things that I enjoy doing. I will be happy :)

In Oklahoma?!

There is always a place at my table. If you can get to Albuquerque, I can get you here.

No BS, all are welcome.

:)

I'll see your shutdown highway and raise you some power outages in Abilene.
It's already starting to drip off the porch so it's going to be a wonderful day out. A good day to get my copy of the Saints game out and watch it.
Watched the complete Cowboys Classic on NFL channel last nite, THE CATCH game with 49ers.

Alone also. More than just alone, I'm a fish out of water, a southern boy from Texas (but last 9 years in Atlanta), who was unemployed for a while and ended up having to take a new job just to survive...in wonderful Newark, NJ. :(

So, here in Newark almost 2 whole weeks, still living in a rundown hotel, no friends, no family within 1000 miles of me or so. And my huge nice house in Atlanta sitting empty with all my stuff in it, with a "for sale" sign in the yard.

Merry freaking Christmas, indeed.

Maybe you stranded guys could pay a visit to Pops in the Daily Zone. I know you'd be welcome there. It is comforting to note that folks here are the hospitable sort. Merry Christmas to everybody!:D
