Mana Silva

Silva had 14 INTs in 2 seasons. That is almost as many INTs as Matt Johnson had in 3.5 seasons.

And Silva is still learning the S position. He was a QB in college. When he transferred to Hawaii from Oregon State, he switched positions. He has only been playing DB for a few years. He hits like a truck and he attacks the ball in the air.

For someone with such balance and fluidity issues, he just makes plays. And Silva spent time with the Ravens, Bills and the Jets before landing with the Cowboys. So Silva not only has legit 4.4 speed, idolizes Polamalu but he also has experience in the Ryan defense as well.

Could be his instincts.

So much of the success of playing safety comes down to instincts.

This is one of the reasons why I think they like Matt Johnson a lot. Players who have a knack for being around the ball have better than average instincts.
