I just don’t see it. We’ve got Micah Parsons for crying out loud. We’ve go an improved interior run defense, we’ve got speed at LB if Barkley tries and goes outside. We’ve got Diggs and Gilmore and Bland. Our safety position is deep.

On offense we’ve got Dak with 3 legit WR’s, an up and coming Ferguson, solid rookie in Schoonmaker, Pollard and Deuuuuuuuce! Turpin?

We have injuries on the offensive line but every damn team in the NFL has injuries. You don’t just quit and lay down like many here have done. You do the opposite. You adapt and overcome. Go Cowboys with the double digit win!

I feel we win on Sunday even if the Smiths are out. I kind of wish we were playing Bass. But I feel we win on Sunday due to defense. Our offense will struggle but will eventually score. I see us winning a low scoring game with Dak and the offense getting it together in the 2nd half. I also think our running game will be a big part of the offense. I say we win 17 to 13.

Their defensive tackles aren't getting quickly to Prescott during this game, if Deuce plays left guard. The replacement guard will do fine for the 2.0 window needed to move the ball against a weak secondary of the Giants. Four strong offensive linemen will maintain status quo for opening game. This team is ready to play some ball and have been going against a pretty good defense all off season. They are hungry for some fresh meat.

Dallas scores 17 by half time...

Right now, the Texans are checking bus stations for offensive linemen. Plenty of injuries.

As a fan, it's hard for me to judge how good the Cowboys are because I don't pay that much attention to other teams. And the season just started. So I like to hear the opinions of those in the media that actually take a lot of time diving into each roster. I don't mean NFLN or anyone mainstream.

I had a good feeling going into this season regardless. Like the OP was suggesting, what's not to like? But it makes me feel better when some of the people that have opinions I highly respect, also believe the Cowboys have a very good team.

We’re just so accustomed to seeing this franchise play down to their competition or losing in big moments, like season openers, you just expect it
Nope, haven't seen that through this off season...this is a professional team. Sometimes professionals learn their lessons.

There are quite a few vocal squawkers that chime in to feel important. That swells with each and every event that is discussed on site. And those are heavy on other teams for the dreamers and not discerning voices. It still is noisy that way.

Your view, of course, is much more relevant.

I don't get the uber negativity. The defense is going to be good. NY dropping 30 or something would be a massive surprise.

At worst, the offense isn't ready and this is a low scoring affair.

Dak is the issue here... the defense is going to show up but they will be a moment during the game when Dak is gonna have to make a play, unfortunately he will hesitate as he normally does.
