Dak is the issue here... the defense is going to show up but they will be a moment during the game when Dak is gonna have to make a play, unfortunately he will hesitate as he normally does.
It’s only the Giants though…..not the Niners or anything close to a playoff game

He’ll be just fine today

I just don’t see it. We’ve got Micah Parsons for crying out loud. We’ve go an improved interior run defense, we’ve got speed at LB if Barkley tries and goes outside. We’ve got Diggs and Gilmore and Bland. Our safety position is deep.

On offense we’ve got Dak with 3 legit WR’s, an up and coming Ferguson, solid rookie in Schoonmaker, Pollard and Deuuuuuuuce! Turpin?

We have injuries on the offensive line but every damn team in the NFL has injuries. You don’t just quit and lay down like many here have done. You do the opposite. You adapt and overcome. Go Cowboys with the double digit win!
Remember fans aren’t under the same obligation to adapt and overcome injuries.

You’re intentions are well founded here and the team will do everything in their power to overcome injuries.

But I think we can at least see why some fans might not be as confident regardless if we agree with or not .

Remember the Giants are beloved by the East coast media and the Cowboys are hated by any media outside the Texas area. ESPN alone seems to be filled with Eagle, Giants and Jets fans.
Yeah but it seems strange that the Cowboys have dominated the Giants since 2016 and Daniel Jones has never had a great game against the Cowboys but now he is supposed to light up the scoreboard. I guess the coaching advantage they have will Daboll and Wink goes along way. Remember the Cowboys offense will be three yards in a cloud of dust because MM said so.

While I hope both Smith and Smith play tonite( looks like Tyler is more likely to be out) I still have reasonable hope we can overcome . But I think the concerns are valid.

We have a new offensive scheme and some new starting key positions which we expect to elevate our offense. And I think they will.

We expect our defense to be our strength this year and hopefully like last year when our QB was out they can take over and dominate the game .

Our OL was a concern coming in. Can we keep it healthy . We didn’t really address in draft or FA. And this was called out as a concern. Our owner even recently said it was one area he wishes had beefed up a little more.

So, we shall see if there’s any repercussions. Who knows like I said maybe both will play or only one is out. But if both are out then the left side is more vulnerable . That’s enough to raise some concerns and doubts.

Thibideux ( sure that’s spelled wrong) Lawrence and Williams are a stout group if we can’t control them it’s gonna be a long day.

Not too concerned on the defensive side of ball I think we hold them to less than 20 if we don’t turn the ball over

My concern all off season has been the line we’re gonna see real soon just what we have

If I may comment on this

I have seen the majority of the major sports media picking the Giants, ESPN, Fox Sports, etc, however I don’t believe the the majority of the CZ is doing so.

Just Rockpoot setting up a strawman so he can come back and claim it was him and the Cowboys against the world…….kind of teeny bopper stuff right there.
The factor I watch is the line . Sports mediots opinions don’t sway me.

And the line hasn’t wavered. It’s been sitting on 3.5 all week. I saw one major casino at 3.

Now if you see the line drop below -3 for the Cowboys then I’d take note.

Dak needs a great run game to be effective

The Giants have a great DL. If they stop our run game we will be in trouble. If we can run the ball effectively we will be fine

This season, ESPN.com has a group of ten reporters - dubbed 'NFL Experts" --- predicting game outcomes each week.
(All ten went with KC over DET)
For DAL-NYG, 7 out 9 (one person didn't post) chose the Cowboys to win.
ESPN.com also has an analytics writer and fantasy analyst teaming up to make game predictions against the spread.
At -3.5, both select the Cowboys to win and beat the spread (28-23, 31-17).

I look for a lot of quick short passes and a very conservative approach. Game will be close.

Yep, it is the whole purpose of changing the offense. More quick passes that are basically like extended handoffs. Will put less pressure on the OL.

It’s just a human psychology/personality thing. There’s a significant portion of the population (something like 20-30%) that postures for a negative outcome to insulate themselves from disappointment. Like the person in your school that got straight A’s but always said they failed the test.

This is the ‘safest’ way to go through life because you are either pleasantly surprised or you get to say ‘I told you so’. It can actually be a pretty unhealthy way to live though because these same people are insanely risk averse and don’t ever leave their comfort zone or grow unless it’s necessary. Just remember you are dealing with that segment of the population every time you post on here. Not worth getting upset over. It’s simply a personality thing.

RP brother, you have been here too long to not know many of this board are going against the Cowboys every week.
The medis has assigned roles. Some pro Cowboy, some anti.
It is their entire job.
I am not sure Shady can even spell cat if you spot him the c and the t but he can be an A number 1 Cowboy hater so he is set for life.

As to the game analysis. Dallas does tend to start slow week 1 but much of that is alleviated by giving them a known, division opponent IMO.
Dallas gets up for the division.

I don't think this game is very close because the Giants are still about 5 plus players away from Dallas level.
