It’s just a human psychology/personality thing. There’s a significant portion of the population (something like 20-30%) that postures for a negative outcome to insulate themselves from disappointment. Like the person in your school that got straight A’s but always said they failed the test.

This is the ‘safest’ way to go through life because you are either pleasantly surprised or you get to say ‘I told you so’. It can actually be a pretty unhealthy way to live though because these same people are insanely risk averse and don’t ever leave their comfort zone or grow unless it’s necessary. Just remember you are dealing with that segment of the population every time you post on here. Not worth getting upset over. It’s simply a personality thing.
Can you do the OP and his motivation to create and increase division? I'd say he falls very much into this same evaluation. But you're the expert.

This season, ESPN.com has a group of ten reporters - dubbed 'NFL Experts" --- predicting game outcomes each week.
(All ten went with KC over DET)
For DAL-NYG, 7 out 9 (one person didn't post) chose the Cowboys to win.
ESPN.com also has an analytics writer and fantasy analyst teaming up to make game predictions against the spread.
At -3.5, both select the Cowboys to win and beat the spread (28-23, 31-17).
So many different shows on ESPN, Fox, NFL Network, etc etc, but the majority of the ones I’ve personally seen, picked the Giants to win…..not unanimousy, just over 50%……

The one reason I kept hearing was them loving Brian Daboll………I think they are overstating his “greatness”

lmao, is this crap real? Does anybody with half a working brain give two crap about what somebody says?

Not picking somebody to win it all caused them to win nothing.

I can't figure out why everybody hates the Cowboys fans.

I just don’t see it. We’ve got Micah Parsons for crying out loud. We’ve go an improved interior run defense, we’ve got speed at LB if Barkley tries and goes outside. We’ve got Diggs and Gilmore and Bland. Our safety position is deep.

On offense we’ve got Dak with 3 legit WR’s, an up and coming Ferguson, solid rookie in Schoonmaker, Pollard and Deuuuuuuuce! Turpin?

We have injuries on the offensive line but every damn team in the NFL has injuries. You don’t just quit and lay down like many here have done. You do the opposite. You adapt and overcome. Go Cowboys with the double digit win!
You've never noticed that the media talks ad nauseum about the Cowboys to get ratings? Manalive, that there is a huge blindspot. It's also blatantly obvious that some take the opposing side of the argument whether they believe it or not.

As far as CZ, you're referring to a tiny minority. Sure you want to give them that sort of credence?

Who cares what other people think none of them know what's really gonna happen in the game but they're just picking with what they think the ratings would be given their decision to go against the Cowboys is gonna fire up people and they get more ratings... You do realize a lot of these shows are scripted and they practice it before they show it on TV and they decide who's gonna pick who and sometimes they make them change their picks to make it more interesting..

I haven't even been watching or paying attention to the media right now all this pregame hype and top but if they are saying those things that'll just fire up our team and coaches let them go ahead and watch and get irritated..

It's 3 point favorite. So they think they are evenly matched. We probably won't have Smith and Smith which is huge

I'd rather have it this way.
It hurts me when they don't pick us. I might go outside and lay under the rainbow to get some happiness back in my life.

Nope, haven't seen that through this off season...this is a professional team. Sometimes professionals learn their lessons.
what haven’t you seen? I hope they have and look forward to a good season.

How big is the population that constantly bashes and berates others for any thought that doesn't agree w/ their own? It wouldn't be hard to conclude that people such as Rocky create the negativism by their over the top fake optimism.

Giants are more improved on both lines than many seem to realize. Dallas is still the better team, but this is a tough spot.

Honestly the difference between a win and a loss in an NFL game comes down to a couple of plays.

If Dallas can remain relatively healthy I see them as a 12 win team, but sorry to say I think one of the losses is tomorrow.

Giants will play over their heads and we may have a tough time matching the intensity.

The key is to smack them in the mouth early. We are a completely different team with a lead.

We are gonna need to earn this one. That DLine of theirs is real.

If you dare disagree with their opinion and views...you are a hater or Eagles fan.

I mean talk about miserable people. Can;t even civilly and maturely agree to disagree...about an opinion.

I think who the better team is is very very close. The addition of Waller, A'Shawn, the rook C, and the 2nd yr development of Thibodeaux could vault this team into the playoffs.

Luckily for the other 90% of posters on this board, the vitriol is mostly confined to Dak threads. Of course, when they are allowed to bring their Dak spew into every thread, it makes it hard to bear for the huge majority. Mods have been doing a great job lately of shutting down unwanted Dakspew, Kudos.

I haven't seen either team's starters play so it's a wait-and-see situation.

And if somebody is picking either team it doesn't hurt me, sheesh, thin-skinned fans are the worst. I survived the jason garrett crap so somebody picking so and so has zero effect on me. dang...wow,,,,,just wow...*shrugs*

Well, there’s this small segment which comes in here to cheer us on . There’s also a segment which focus is attacking one aspect like with our starting QB’s and then there’s most of the forum which are here to discuss their concerns and issues providing critical thinking.

Unfortunately much like in most social media the vocal minority voice often dominates the airwaves. I think the administrator and mods do an outstanding job overall. They are more lenient in off season tighten things up for regular season.

It is what it is. You just to place some on ignore and navigate much like in other social media sites scrolling on by. There’s still enough sound discussions and opinions here . But you sometimes have to wade thru it. There’s several longtime members I follow and enjoy their takes. That keeps me coming back.
