It appears that the off season work he did has helped him mentally grow up. Is anyone buying it?

He claims to have retired the money sign thing he has been doing.

I know that I was a guy that liked Manziel coming out of college. Anyone out there giving him a chance to succeed in the NFL? Anyone think he can be a good QB? I certainly have my doubts now.

I think he has some talent. The problem with him may be that he has to play with that swagger, its a huge part of his game. If he changes his mentality, he could pull a Roy Williams and lose it.

That, and he can't read a defense at all...

His over-confident cocky attitude on the field is what made him great in college.

Making him a regular guy will be likely when Tiger cut down to 1 woman at a time and lost his game.

Hard to believe anyone believed this guy has any football ability. Is it really surprising he isn't very good considering he never had a playbook (until last year)? Not even at A&M.

Manziel has one of his high school coaches living with him, so he's certainly trying to walk the walk.

He is too small, weak armed and dumb to succeed in NFL. It doesn't matter if he drinks or not or has so called swagger or not.

He just isn't good enough for the NFL.

Lot of crow at the Zone dinner table on this one.

No football ability? Huh, come again?? I have no idea if he will make it or not, but the dude torched HS ranks in TX, and the SEC so I would say he has some football ability.

The dude just got done throwing a water bottle at a loud-mouthed fan.

He ain't changed and he never will.

It's been bred into the kid..................a lifetime of privileges.

There's a fine line to be walked there and it was obviously over-stepped with 'ol Johnny Football from a very young age.

Johnny's improvisational skills work better in college than in the NFL. It's easier to run around and throw the ball up for grabs in college than in the NFL. Defenses are just too fast at the professional level.
I don't know whether he can make it or not. But I suspect if he does have success, we're going to see the return of the brash, cocky quarterback. As has been stated, that has been his brand. If he goes back to being Average Joe, he may win games, but he's not going to be marketable.

People want to see Johnny Football not Johnny Manziel.

His game in college wouldn't translate to the NFL. The guy would throw up extremely dangerous throws to the middle of the field. In the NFL, those would be picked off. You are much more lucky when you are playing against players that aren't likely to make it (or even last) at the NFL level.

Unless he starts taking QBing seriously, he will never become a real NFL QB. Looking at his past, that's never going to happen.

After watching his short stint as a starter last year, he looked totally lost. The offense he's presently in does not complement his talents however, I think the jump from college to the NFL for him is too high and exceeds his talents anyway. I read that he's already struggling in mini camp (after cleaning up his act). I give him 20% chance he flourishes in the NFL.
And hell NO, I do not want him near VR thinking he just needs to be loved by his GM (in Texas) to be successful.

Tiger is going through a swing change. 6 months in. Historically it's taken him a year to get it dialed in if you've followed his other changes over the year.

Also he was cheating on Vonn.
