Not sure where you got the information that juicing caused the torn abdominal wall. Doesn't make much sense.

Possibly, making the person think they are stronger than they are, resulting in trying to lift more weight, that tears a muscle?

LOL at the lack of empathy for chronically injured players. Praise them with poetry, damn them with prose.

lol, that's what I was going to say. Data suggests that he stopped when he got here.

From a business investment standpoint, doing steroids and then getting a big contract is a pretty smart move, to be honest.

The data shows his peformance in Dallas was very similar to the two previous years he had while playing in San Diego.

He never produced because he wasn't all that great.

Agreed.

LOL.

These guys. Sueing because they chose to play a game that is extremely physical and they got messed up doing it.

Why would it be the NFL's fault that you played football? No one forced you to play football.

This is like wrecking a motorcyle and then suing the dealership for selling you the bike that you got injuried riding.

I get your reasoning but it is not entirely on base. The NFL was not doing everything it could to protect their players.

I doubt he was juicing while with dallas cause he did jack squat when he was with dallas. Probably did it a couple years prior to coming to dallas.

LOL! My thought was similar to yours. I was thinking, "He probably needed to be juicing."

This is what our society promotes these days: a lack of personal and professional responsibility.

I stopped playing football in college because I did not want to play with injuries. I knew my athletic career, though rewarding, was not going to support me long term so I refused to continue playing under the influence of drugs. It was my choice.

To this day I do not take any medications for pain due to my football injuries or any other maladies.

If The NFL and the teams doctors were misleading their players and patients then they are also guilty of not fulfilling their professional responsibility. That is the accusation by the players.

It's a serious challenge for the NFL but deception is a two-way street.

And?

How does that change the fact that they chose to play and go after that money, and career, despite knowing that it was a rough, and dangerous sport?

They chose to take part regardless of the risk so they've made that chose for themselves.

If my family member decides to go sky diving and dies I'm not going to sue the Sky Diving company because they couldn't make Sky Diving 110% safe.

Lol. Again, right over your head. You think these players won that huge lawsuit for no reason? It was real. The NFL was negligent. Especially when it came to concussions. They allowed players to go right back in. Until they finally put a stop to it.

Yes I know they did. Good for them.

A lady won a lawsuit years ago over McDonalds as well for the coffee she ordered being hot. Am I supposed to think that she won that for good reason too?

Exactly.

I don't care if our broken system allows for people to win stupid lawsuits they shouldn't win.

I find it stupid, beyond belief, that people who choose to play a game for a living, knowing it's violent and knowing the risks, can then turn around and sue the league they chose to play in for their injuries and problems they got while playing the game they chose to play.

I'm glad they have folks like you who do feel for them and feel they deserve those things that's your right. I don't feel they deserve to win those lawsuits, I don't feel they have any right to complain, cry, whine, or demand money for things they got while deciding, on their own, to play a violent game.

The ignorance is deep with this one.

BTW, McD didn't lose the suit because the lady spilled coffee. They lost because multiple states and juries told them the coffe was unreasonably hot. Amazing how they lowered the temp to industry standard and the suits stopped.

But do continue. Your indignation in favor of what you feel is right is quite amusing.

When the active players negotiated their CBAs they never put aside any money for the older guys, they try to keep as much for themselves as possible. And the older guys did the same exact thing when they were active. Then they take their pensions early before they fully mature because they need the money now. They are paid 100x times the average salary of most people and know the risks. I would say that most players with chronic injuries would still choose to play the game over again.
