March Madness 2022 Thread

My favorite of the 4 teams is the only one I had going to final 4. Villanova.
All that said I don't begrudge coach K going out on top or Kansas winning it after being part of and winning the best conference all year.
Hubert is an Ex-Mav so that's kinda cool too.

Hoping for some close games and entertaining basketball.

We do an annual bracket at work and my boss who doesn't follow sports at all could win. I don't know what measure she was using, and someone said she even thought the rankings worked opposite to how they actually work when she picked her teams, but she had St. Peter's go a couple rounds and now has a chance to win it all with Villanova. Unbelievable.

I don't have a shot because someone slightly ahead of me has Kansas just like I do. Not sure this person even follows sports at all. I might use a coin toss next year to create my bracket.

Go Heels!!
What a great, well played game by bothteams.
Tar
Heels!

Playing Duke in the NCAA tourney for the first time after a hundred year history, let alone playing them in the Final Four is as big as it gets for those two schools (other than if they met in the final).
I hope here isn't a let down against maybe the best teamin the country, Kansas.
Cant wait for Monday night

I’m afraid of a let down after how much emotion was in this game. Plus like you said, Kansas is probably the best team.

All I really cared to see is Duke lose so I am good.

Still its two of the same old suspects, North Carolina and Kansas. Yawn.

Carolina coughed up one of the largest leads in National Championship game history to lose to Kansas, 72-69.
Congrats to the Jayhawks

UNC best scorer chose the wrong game to not be able to hit the brad side of a barn
Caleb Love was an insanely bad 5 of 24 from the field (1 of 8 on 3s) lol

Tar Heels blew it but Jayhawks also took it, for their 4th title in school history.

Would have liked a healthy Bacot in this game. Unfortunately Love and Davis were off tonight. Lack of depth caused some tired dead legs.

He is back….

Mass street is probably ridiculous right now. Last time they one, I remember seeing people spanning the entire street, shoulder-to-shoulder, walking in one giant mob. Looked like the army of the dead from GOT.

I watch the first half, as we know NC up 15, I bail knowing the Tarheels got this. WHAT?????

I did find the final 5 minutes on youtube.

Never do that again.

That kind of summed it up.
Sticky KU defense, Tired legs by UNC with the emotional game vs Duke and the short bench
Bacot not 100% and finally leaving the game with the ankle
BOTH guards couldn't hit from the outside....insanely horrible outside shooting. Rare for both to be off
Manek did not get enough looks (hit half his 3s) and Love was gunning
But bottom line was KU pulled it out

WELL IF IT HAD TO BE ONE OF THEM THEN I AM HAPPY IT WAS KANSAS.

Love rolled his ankle early in 2nd half and still kept gunning. Not enough shots for Manek but credit Kansas with good defense. I do think Love/Davis got a little too trigger happy. I wish Dontrez would have gotten some playing time to rest the starters. He played good against Baylor

Big 12 has now went Runner Up > Champ > Champ last 3 years.
What a basketball conference.
