He’s everything in a football coach in 2025 that you want .

- he’s a gambler
- he’s player coach just enough
- he’s a motivator - a screamer
- he’s not afraid to bench a guy
- he can coach up a QB
- he’s done it at the biggest level - the Cowboys of CFB.

This is our guy .
He's a defensive coach; I'm not sure where the QB developing is come that you speak of.

In any case, it doesn't fix the personnel problem which lies at the hands of the GM. I'm willing to try anything though, and agree would much prefer Freeman as a HC to McCarthy. At the least, we'd have a much tougher coach which translates to the team.

Leave him in South Bend - he’s doing great things there that are long overdue
He's doing a great job, but it's not been super uncommon for ND to get to this stage and lose. Not like they haven't played in championships this century, they just always get smoked by more talented teams.

I would be very, very impressed if the same doesn't happen against Ohio State. That team is a juggernaut.

Freeman is not the right fit for this circus level of chaos. Deion and his entourage would be perfect. A ratings bonanza for Jerry and the NFL.

Brian Kelly is a choke artist in big games; this year Freeman has shown he is not.

I am under no misconceptions about their ability to beat Ohio State on the 20th

What I am excited about is this team actually being competitive with the upper echelon teams in the country

Something we haven’t been for three decades

Beating three Top Ten ranked teams in a row to get to this point is not something ND has done.

They haven’t done something like that in years. What Freeman has done hasn’t really happened since Holtz was around.

Freeman makes more coaching Notre Dame than McCarthy does coaching the Cowboys. For this reason alone I doubt it’s likely to happen.

As long as Jerry has an open door policy for player grievances, and calls the shots on who starts and sits based on contracts, and picks the coordinators, then it doesn't matter who the coach is. They are castrated upon entrance.

Wait, Jerry is going to give Marcus full control while the Jones family will deal the marketing and stadium bookings.

I love Marcus Freeman and he’s done a great job this season. But he’s the head coach for a team where the hc gets to mk hc decisions. That hasn’t happened for a Cowboys hc since Jimmy left.
