Marcus Spears

He did. But I can't help but think Ratliff's pass-rush ability would be better used from the End spot and Spears' ability against the run doubled with his strength, rather than speed, would be better used from the NT position.
That makes sense. We just need Spears to take on double teams and occupy linemen to free up our LB's.

I want Fergy to stick around for atleast another year. He only hurt his bicep, so it's not like he's gonna be slowed down by a knee/leg injury.

Anyone else think he had a helluva game playing from the NT position?

He's awesome.

I rank him right below Parcells and MBIII.

Depends. If we cut Ferguson (which isn't entirely out of the question) Spears might end up with the starting NT position next year.

Entirely possible, I wouldn't mind. What happens to Ratliff then, he didn't get paid to be backup NT and I'd rather see Canty - Spears - Hatcher than Canty - Spears - Ratliff

DE.

Ratliff - Spears - Canty

He absolutely did not have a "helluva game". His best plays were when he was playing LE.

He was average at best at NG. And I'm giving him a lot of credit. The skins ran right over us all game long.

Spears has had a good December. He also had a good September. I think next year they would probably be better off with a starting rotation of Canty, Fergy/Tank, and Ratliff. But Spears has played very well for half of the season and it's really gone unnoticed. As a backup he could be very effective next season.

YAKUZA

I agree, sometimes these guys take 3 or 4 years for it to kick in.
