In the middle of this interview they asked Marinelli about Demontre Moore. He said he was doing fine but Garrett made the decision to cut him.

Demontre Moore was cut primarily because they needed to cut someone and it was reported that he was in some type of off-the-field incident around the same time. Of course I wouldn't be surprised to see him resigned at some point in the future if he doesn't sign with another team.

I would be surprised if they're resigned him. Very much so.

He was a guy on essentially his last chance.

Started the year suspended, and could get another one based on the off-field incident.

And he wasn't doing much with the snaps he was getting. Snaps that were decreasing week after week.

And then he was doing things during that portion at the beginning of the game that the ownership frowns on.

To me, that adds up to three strikes and you're out. Out of Dallas, and quite possibly out of the league entirely.

I bought into him and thought he had "gotten it", I was wrong too.

With Lawrence, Irving, Crawford, Mayowa and Charlton all at DE, can't really say there was a reason to keep Moore. Now if he was a DT, like a real DT, not an undersized DE that we sometimes like to rush from inside, then this would be a dumb move.

This all day - the guy had 3 tackles in 3 games...he wasn't contributing anything.

I know it's a great opportunity for the media to dig into this transaction every which way and try to get to the bottom of some dark story, and it's something to discuss on the board, but we should be glad we don't need to rely on him as a DE and that he's now a bottom of the roster churn. He's not important to anything the team might accomplish the rest of the season.

Lot of excess Garbage
being tossed this week I like it

Now rod be a man get up there jump in Jerry's face and tell him how you feel about this move

Please

I don't think I've ever heard Marinelli say anything negative about a player. Has he ever said someone wasn't doing his job?
He did say Taco Charlton was "not good enough" after the Cardinals preseason game. Does that count?

I didn't really have much expectations for him. I wasn't impressed with him in the preseason, either. He throws a lot of moves at the OL, but doesn't seem to really get anywhere, which doesn't say much about him at this point in his career.

However, I was wrong on Carroll being serviceable, so I'll take a mulligan. (I'll also thought Thornton would be better than he was here.)

I suppose. He just seems to never say, we cut him because he wasn't x,y,z. He always makes it seem a personnel decision above his head that he disn't play a role in. Maybe that's because they are. I honestly can't tell.

Never...

Just one time I'd like to hear him say...the guy sucks.. Just one time.

Hell...he probably still thinks that 0-16 Lions team was pretty good.

He barely looked better rushing the passer than Taco and Mayowa. They all have the same amount of sacks this year. His loss won't hurt.

Whatever the off field incident was, it sounded like it was sufficient reason to part ways and that Moore knew he screwed up. Kinda curious to know the details here.
They say it was a bar fight but Moore wasn't at fault...........it was the Thursday night before the SF game ........ he was named inactive for that game
