This is not an attempt to whitewash our secondary's play today. It was abysmal. It's as cut and dry as that.

That being said I don't know how one cannot come away impressed with Mario Manningham tonight, especially in YAC.

Dude looks like a player

Steve Smith ain't that bad either.

No he's isn't. He was clutch today. It's just that Manningham caught me more off guard than anything else.

But anyway, props to them both.

He was kind of written off after he ran a 4.6 or something at the combine

Those guys run excellent routes. Eli was making awesome throws too. It was the combo of the two that killed our db's.

steve smith has been nothing more then a 3rd down reciever for the giants. i watch every game of theirs.

very reliable possesion reciever but we made him look lik an all pro. he is not as good as he looked tonight.

the giants were worried bout having to use him on the outside wish is why they drafted hakeem nicks.

mario had a solid camp but neither wr looked this good all preseason or even last week

our secondary if anything made them look better then they really are.

for us to get beat on by lower level wr, none of which can command double coverage really says something about us

hopefully we get these issues corrected

You could be corrrect. Guess we just have to see how they play the rest of the year.

On the bright side the Eagles were torched way worse than we were.

I like Manningham, wanted us to draft him..... Here's a quick list of WRz I wanted us to draft over the last 5 or 6 years, WRZ we actually had a chance to get....

Harvin, Nicks, Juaquin Iglesias this year, think we could have got one of them
Sweed, Delvin Thomas, Manningham and Desean jackson last year....
Sidney Rice in 07----Chad Jackson in 06---

I would love to have a young WR prospect drafted high.....

smith has been solid over the middle his whole career...hes sure handed and not afraid to make catches in traffic and taking a big hit. they're not worried about using him on the outside, hes just clearly better in the slot.

manningham, however, definitely caught me off guard. hes got skills but he really hasn't shown much before now

Don't forget it takes WRz a year or 2 to produce in the NFL, and when Smith was at SC he caught everything, the perfect slot WR who runs great routes..... Right now we have not one WR who runs good routes....

Manningham was a beast at Mich. they had Ohio St beat if he never gets hurt, he was unstoppable basically at Mich.

I'm gonna hate to see what Jackson and Maclin do to us.....

Smith is exactly the player we need. When we need someone to get open our recievers go and hide. At least hes a playmaker in the clutch and we need more of those types of players.

Slow at the combine and light there too but he made plays every Saturday with Chad Henne. He is a steal

Only against out overhyped defense.

Newman lovers unite, but he's healthy right? Where are the excuses now?

Reese is a great GM.

They are a well run organization but they have a great coaching staff and they don't beat themselves, we are the polar opposite.
