Aww c'mon, where's your sense of gamesmanship?! It would be the ultimate show down, Texas-style! High-stakes, winner take all; I'd love to see it cuz I know we wouldn't lose..... :D

I have lived in Houston too long for that. Give me the Buffalo meltdown Houston did any day of the week. :laugh2:

Dunta Robinson has a long road to recovery. He wrecked his knee. Tore his ACL and his hamstring. His hamstring was torn off the bone.

I don't even like hearing about that injury. When it was reported that the hamstring was torn away from the bone I got a sick feeling just hearing it. I did hear that he is expect to make a full recovery at least according to his doctors but rehabb is going to be rough.

He'll probably be the best DE in the game by next year... He made the RT look like a JV player last night....

Mario Williams is a fine player.
Anyone who thinks he was worth the first pick is crazy. Top 10 yes. Not first pick.

Bush or Vince is "franchise" type player.

Maybe... Bush is sidelined and VY is struggling.

Bush has not shown it and Vince who knows but right now Vince has not been all that great. Tenn relies heavy on the run more than the arm of Young but he is still young so that may change down the road. As for Mario if he develops into a Reggie White type player then yes he was very well worth spending the overall #1 in getting him.

Oh I know.

I wasn't trying to come off like I knew Mario would be the better pick.

Personally, I would have gone with VY as the #1.

A very good friend of mine was an assistant coach at Richlands High. He has always said Mario would make the pros and be a force. He also said it would take him time to get there.
I guess my teasing about Mario never getting there is coming to an end.
This kid is really some thing as a person also, he has put a ton of money back in Richlands football program.

Bush has not shown that he is a playmaker? really... thats interesting... he is special... gifted...

Vince Young has a winning record as a starter in his first season AND... even with struggles he has chance to lead the team to a winning record THIS season.

Both the Saints and the Titans have better records with said players.

Reggie Bush has 4 TD, he has 8 fumbles on the season losing 3 of them and avg 3.7 yards a carry for 581 yards no that is not being a playmaker and it sure as hell is not the kind of numbers you expect from a 1st rd RB let alone as high as Reggie went. Thing with RB they normally show you from the get go what they can do unlike QB where time is needed stud RB show themselfs pretty quickly, see Peterson and guys like Emmitt Smith those were and are franchise type RB Bush has failed to come close to that. You mention the record but the Saints record is not in part because of the great job of Bush because he has not been producing!!!. Young on the other hand is in his 2nd season so more time should be given before any claim can be made.

He has been hurt.

You cant go by the small sample size. He will be a GREAT player. Mario may be a great player too... but you dont take him infront of "frachise" type players

on draft day, i wouldve took VY over Bush, and Mario Williams, someone mentioned that the Texans were leaning towards Bush, but he wanted some ridiculous contract, so they offered the same offer to Mario Williams and he took it and ran.

in hindsight, i probably wouldve still icked VY 1st, but Mario Williams is definetly looking like the right choice for Houston. :starspin

Seriously? I would have thought even the staunches of VY supporters would realize how terrible he is by now.

In my draft formula, Mario Williams was absolutely off the charts in terms of athleticism.

im speaking if i were the texans, remember their starting QB was David Carr at the time, who is just plain awful.

I'm sure at the time they at least wanted to replace him with a competent QB.

VY is a great athlete but he is a horrible QB, I would not have selected him #1.

Mario Williams is having a very good season. Is he the real deal? Who knows, we'll see how consistant he is.
