Give me Barber any day over Julius. He hits the hole harder, always falls forward and shows more explosion than JJ has this year. He deserves to get more carries than JJ. I don't know what more people need to see to realize that Barber is the more effective RB.

I agree Barber is doing much better but JJ would have broken that long run for a touch down if he would have broken the hole that Barber did. The question is whether JJ would have broke through like Barber did. Barber is missing the speed but nothing else that I can see!

Well, considering the number of games that Julius has missed, Barber may have more experience than JJ right now.

I'm sorry but I will go with production. I said it a couple of weeks ago and I'll say it again. JJ is supposed to be the guy and Barber looks much better. When/If JJ comes back and looks like he did last year then I say give him the ball. Until then I say we go with the horse that is pulling the sled.

Julius isn't the same back he was late last year, but c'mon- It's not like he's Eddie George. I'm willing to let him have a few more games to work himself back into form.
Parcells obviously sees something in starting Jones over Barber- that's good enough for me for now. Barber IS, however, rounding into a dangerous Preston Pearson type out of the backfield.

Julius would not have made the plays that MB made as well. Especially the pass catches late in the 4th qtr.

I say next year JJ drops 15 pounds. Let him play at his natural weight. He gained the weight bc we werent sure what we had behind him. Now we know we got a solid tough runner and a great reciever/blocker

then give them each 15 carries each.

JJ at last years weight could take 15 a game.

I am thinking that having them BOTH in the backfield at the same time may actually be the way to go. Its not like Polite is all that much of a lead blocker for the running game, and JJ and MB are both better at everything else then he is.

I'm starting to think that Barber could be the permanent starter over Julius now. After watching his 8 games last season, we were ready to put Julius up there with Emmitt and Dorsett.

OK ALREADY! He runs the draw better. It's one stinkin' play. If it really is that obvious to you that his best play, and frankly only effective play, is the draw, don't you think opposing defensive coordinators know this as well and gameplan it specifically for Jones????

The fact of the matter is Barber does more things better than Jones. More complete RB period. That does not mean Jones cant play and cant be a part of the offense. He can. I just think we need to feature Barber more.

me too, the big key is that MBIII catches the ball VERY well also, something JJ doesn't do so well. JJ can catch it, but he almost has to stop his momentum to do it, it just isn't natural for him. MBIII also does all the things better than JJ that you mentioned above.

Honestly, I dont see a problem having both these guys. Its not a bad deal what so ever.

Julius jukes the first guy pretty good but after that he hits the pile head down not giving a damn.



Barber on the other hand runs with his head up, eyes open, cuting, breaking, diving, what ever it takes to get those deserved yards.


In lames terms he runs harder.

If I had to pick a RB right now it would be Barber hands down.....
