I can't remember the last time that I couldn't wait for a Cowboys game this much and all for the wrong reasons, so to speak.

I am so sick and tired of how the media continues to make the Cowboys, 4-2, a half game out of first place, as a team in dire-straits.

Granted, it has been a crazy couple of days with the suspension of Adam Jones and the trade for WR Roy Williams.

I find it amazing that the media acts like Adam Jones was this great corner for the Cowboys and now he is gone for at least 4 weeks and possibly more that the Cowboys are in serious trouble. They couldn't be more wrong!

What has Adam Jones done for the Cowboys this year? How many INTS does he have? ZERO! What was Adam Jones specialty? Punt returns? How well did he do with that? Averaged less than 10 yards/ return and ZERO TD'S. Is Adam Jones that much of a big loss? I'd say NO!

IMHO, I think we will all see why Mike Jenkins was our first overall pick in this years draft. He has the size/speed ratio that you look in a CB. He is a smart kid that will not cost you a game. Look, if Jenkins can hold his own with T.O., Crayton and now Roy Williams I am sure that Jenkins will be fine when game day comes.

Now on to Roy Williams. I'll make this short and sweet. Like RW's or not HE IS A HUGE UPGRADE OVER CRAYTON! Yes, the media would like to have you think that the Cowboys over-paid for a guy that has similar numbers that Crayton has. Fine but let's compare something here. The Lions offense is ranked #30! UMMMMMM! interesting to say the least. The Lions rank #24 in passing which is bad for a team that throws the ball as much as they do.

Get my point? Roy Williams numbers are around the same as Crayton because the Lions absolutely suck! There is a reason why they are 0-6!

Let's face forward to RW's being a Cowboy. The media thinks he won't be an upgrade or an impact player for the Cowboys. WRONG! Now, coming this week against the Rams, yes, he may not have a big game in statistics but just his presences should be enough to get people off of T.O. and should create enough distraction to open up the middle of the field for Witten and Crayton underneath. Down the line, RW's will be an impact player!

Now that I got that off my chest, now to the game, the Cowboys will pound the Rams and will go to 5-2! There are alot of "experts" picking the Rams because of the turmoil in Big D..:laugh2: I'll tell you guys right now, whether Brad Johnson or Romo plays the Cowboys will WIN!

There is way to much talent on this team to lose to a lesser Rams team. Ya! the Rams upset the Skins last week but the will be facing a team that is pissed off and is looking for a little to get things right. I think the Giant will be woking up come Sunday!

The score: Cowboys: 35 Rams: 17............. Mark it Down. Go Cowboys!!

Good post. I agree. I said it in another post, I think we come together like never before. The Rams are bad. They won on emotion last week. Our O-line will take this game personally.

I'm with you, I'm really looking forward to this game.

The Roy Williams 11 issue. Look at it from an angle that most people have ignored. Without Roy Williams 11, lets say TO goes down for a few weeks. Our starting WR's would have been Austin and Crayton. So, not only does he give us another weapon, he gives us insurance against what would have been an injury we could not have recovered from previously.

I do hope you are right and we do win big.

But I do remember fans making post before the Commanders, Bengals, and Cardinals game saying how we were going to pound them.

But this week is a bit different than most, so I actually do see the Cowboys winning and winning in great fashion.

I actually do think we'll crush them, but we'll see. I'm not going to get my hopes up, I'd rather be pleasantly surprised than crushingly dissapointed.

Agree 100%. This is really nice insurance to have. How soon we forget that T.O. went down late last year, and our offense struggled without a true #1 WR.

I figure we win but now, thanks to a post like this, I know I'm going to get to sweat it out to the end. There has been a post like this every single game, practically, and every time we wind up going down to the wire.

The main reason the media has us labeled as a team in dire straits is because our special teams are so horrible that victory is always within reach for the other team, no matter who it is.

Say that it is so......... 35-17 similar to the beat down we gave then last year. A lot of people may not agree with me but I liked the nastyness displayed by Adam when attacking the ball/ receivers I think he was a game or 2 away from really putting it together. I hope the young man gets his head out of his Butt and gets his life together. I would have liked to see him turn the corner, but we may never know..

Adams better play well against Lennard Little who is a speed guy and Adams generally struggles with these kind of DE's.

As soon as u realize the media is important for 2 types of fans, the casual fan and the young fan in efforts to sell advertisment! They have a job appeal to the masses get over it!
