I heard he also has a 1.75 million in incentives on playing times, etc. Let us pray he never sees that!

Doesn't that $2 million become guaranteed as of Week One?

Pretty good 3rd string QB.

I think if he ever had to play he would do ok here because our OL & run game would help him not freak out as much and make mistakes.

I believe so for a vested vet... Aaron needs to brush up on his NFL contract rules doesn't he?

Yeah, I don't see why he made a point of mentioning "no guaranteed money" as it doesn't make much sense.

Isn't he decent at throwing short slants? I have no idea really

He's just a streaky guy. Gets really hot and then really cold and turns the ball over.

I haven't watched a whole lot of him lately but I don't think he processes information quickly. As far as arm talent he can make every throw on the field.

Hes one of those guys thats a top 32 nfl qb...but you dont want him starting. His badness is pretty overblown...and yet you still dont want him on the field. He is where he belongs on an NFL depth chart. If he gets pushed into service, its not the end of the world.

I imagine Aaron was just noting that there is no guaranteed as part of the $2 million salary. Yes, there is a vested veteran type clause that if you're on a roster week 1, your salary is guaranteed. But it's only guaranteed if 1) you seek to get it by way of the CBA. 2) You haven't gotten it from another team.

They really should have put in provisions to protect us from butt fumbles, i.e. 250k gets returned for each butt fumble. Then I could get behind this deal

It says to me that he's here for the entire season as opposed to being released when Romo gets healthy.

Well, I don't envision Dak getting hurt, so things will really have to go to pot for him to see playing time

I'd think that regardless of Romo's health. That said, $2m isn't something that would make the Cowboys beholden to Sanchez for a season if he's stinking up the joint.

Is there a penalty clause in the contract for bruising OL buttocks?
