This is a damn important point. Listen to every word.

There are people, including scientists seeking grants, who are bound and determined to kill the sport we love, no matter what.

The PC police have a huge target on this game.

Schlereth is absolutely right.

I think we can recognize that repeated blows to the head, even "light" ones, probably aren't good. We can also recognize that people have a right to pursue certain pursuits and we can participate vicariously etc. without some sort of morale outrage. No one is making anyone play football. The more important thing is that people know the potential risks, and that we don't start pearl clutching about individual risks.

PEDs, illicit drugs, pain killers, natural violent tendencies, difficulty handling loss of fame and fortune, money issues, predatory women and business people......this can all lead to severe depression in highly aggressive personalities.

It's not CTE by default.

And lots of people who never played get dementia.

Won't be long before the game is outlawed in schools. Thus, colleges, too.

Then what?

they all start playing basketball. But the Beasley's and Edelman's and Tyron Smith's and Zack Martin's of the world have no shot there

Too much money in college, it's not going anywhere, but I agree that states will start outlawing it in schools soon enough. When that happens colleges will have to start recruiting from 7 on 7 and rugby teams.

What if a college gets sued for millions?

Football and the NFL in particular, is being hit from all angles.

A few things that come to mind are the wussificstion of society, and it has a tremendous impact on pop culture so opportunistic factions seek to influence it to in turn influence society.

None of the owners are shooting themselves in the head at age 50, just the players. Wonder why that is.

No politics people. This has been said time and time again so you know better.

Starting off a thread with "the PC police have a huge target on this game."... Is bringing politics into the conversation.

If someone wants to start a new thread with the video, in the NFL or Sports Zone, without bringing politics into it that is ok.

However if some brings politics in that thread, they will get a vacation without any further warning.
