One before the start of the season,then lost to the Giants, the bye week we needed overtime to beat Philly, and after a 10-day layoff we loss to the Giants again. The distractions from that were disastrous.

And Romo played one of his worst games ever.

The only other one that as worst was vs. the Pack and Farve.

This is not a distraction to not play them.

You're supposed to be getting your starters ready for the playoffs not your backups. You can't allow your starters to lose their edge and collect rust for three weeks. To keep your starters sharp and playing well they need to play some.
