Marshall faulk still not a believer

Faulk was 5-11 picking Cowboy games this year. I think he is still pissed because Ware picked him up and drove him into the ground.

For whatever reason, Faulk cannot stand Romo & the 'Boys (maybe it's the interview thing one poster eluded to), and I've come to expect nothing less from him. A wise man once said to "Embrace the Hatred" and never was that phrase more fitting than when referring to Marsha Fault!!

I agree. I thought it was funny when after Dallas beat Philly, Faulk and Irvin were talking and Irvin said to him "Man you were saying defense wins championship now all of a sudden that is not the case" Faulk of course was at a loss of words before coming up with some other excuse of why Dallas could not win

He doesn't like Romo because he had his studio-mate Deion in his ear all last year during the TO debacle telling him Romo and Witten had some conspiracy to run TO out of town.

Don't these networks script these things? I mean ESPN will purposely hate on the Cowboys so they can get ratings. I see the NFL Network doing the same thing with a few analysts hating and couple others giving out some love.

They do it so you can tune in and watch after the game is over. Either happy or mad. They want ratings. People bag on ESPN, but they're the world wide leader for a reason. And to me, hating on the cowboys is clever marketing.

So for those of you who take offense to the so called "BSPN's" of television. Don't take it personal, they boost our ratings. So I actually thank them. :)

Yes. Most people don't understand this part of television. Nothing you see on television is unscripted, even reality shows. The shows on NFL network and ESPN have meetings before each show and they go over what they will say. Producers will tell someone like Faulk that he has to keep on theme and stay negative on the Cowboys. They can't have 3-4 guys always agreeing on everything each week. Anytime you see analysis from someone, don't take it personally. Chances are a whole team of people came up with that analysis in the back room so that it would spark lively debate amoungst the others. Thats how you keep a show interesting.

Indeed. No need to waste energy trying to please someone who you can never please. Pity him and move on.

I think it is funny, I enjoy watching Faulk come up with excuses on Dallas. At 1st I was taken aback because I figured anyone with a pair of eyes could see how the Cowboys are playing like them or not, but now I get a kick out of watching faulk come up with reasons why Dallas can't go all the way.

Who was scripting for Emmitt? Obviously someone who speaks english as a second language.

I also enjoy watching Faulk do his mental gymnastics to come up with justification for his points.

I also think the more hate the better. It is clearly motivating this team and they clearly enjoy getting the last word.

Ok, so this is the first time we are playing against Peterson THIS YEAR.

But here is how we did against other "TOP RBs":

Week 3: DeAngelo Williams, 11 carries, 64 yards, 0 touchdowns
Week 7: Michael Turner, 18 carries, 50 yards, 1 touchdown
Week 14: LaDanian Tomlinson, 21 carries, 50 yards, 1 touchdown

And another reason we haven't "faced" a big time rushing attack the last few weeks is because we've stopped it. Getting on top early has forced teams to become one-dimensional.

Tony Romo is playing his childhood idol

True, but I believe Tony Romo squashed all notions that he would have a hard time playing against Brett Favre in 2007, when he actually outplayed him, even though Brett Favre did get hurt.

Also, I don't know why people get so worked about a member of the media not being a so called "believer" in the Dallas Cowboys.

Folks, the Minnesota Vikings won 12 Games, are the #2 Seed, playing at home, which is a place they went undefeated this Season. They are a very good football team and it is going to take a very good football team to go down to the Metrodome and beat them.

I think Dallas can contain Peterson. What the vikes have to be concerned with is Peterson fumbling the ball. He leads the league in fumbles and if he has some early trouble on holding on to the ball it will wear on his mind. I have allot of respect for Peterson ability but I also know he has some weakness to overcome in his game.

Sometimes you only fall into their hands when you complain about it. They love the attention.

Eh. It's not surprising but nothing he said there was terrible, really, compared to what he normally does.

He at least acknowledged that he wanted to see the defense and Romo continue to play as well as they're playing.

I remember when we played against NO on the NFL network he Tony Dungy'd himself and said we had no shot.

Dungy has changed his opinion of us but Faulk is still acting like a moron, as for someone who mentioned Berman he picks us to lose every game. He does the obnoxious "HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS" crap and then when it comes to pick he's all "eh i dunno i have a feeling cowboys could slip up...". I think he's a Bills fan so maybe he's just a bitter fool like Herm Edwards who's also on ESPN as an eagles fan.

Three biggest cowboy haters have been Cowherd, Edwards, Berman, and some other dudes who's name has slipped my mind. I don't pay enough attention to Faulk/NFL network to have a log of all his prior comments on the cowboys just the stuff during the Saints game.
