Martellus Bennett Running His Mouth in NY *Merge*

He'll be lucky to catch 20 passes this season, Bennett has always been all talk

this is getting tiresome

i wonder when was the last time a player from the steelers, patriots, packers, giants, eagles, etc that left, trash talked or said derogatory things about the players on that team when he knew he would have to go back and play those same players twice/year?

several cowboys seem to be doing this

tellus
bowen
canty

i wonder why????

and please dont say it is because the cowboys didnt give them a big fat contract because that is true of all players leaving their team

"I mean we are cool but we ain't that cool, know what I am saying?"

That's beautiful Martellus. Great insight. Of course, we know what you're saying... who wouldn't. I think you have great things in store for you in the future.

I never wish for bodily harm to anybody during a game except for one person & that being Vick. Now it looks like I'm gonna have to add another to the list, this guy is all talk & no walk. I really hope he can catch a short pass so that someone can blast this fool.

I'm actually rooting for Marty B to succeed because I think he has talent. Just not against the Cowboys

He probably has never forgiven Romo for having the audacity to hit him right in the hands with the football.
That pretty much sums it up.

Never has a player done so little with so much opportunity as this waste of space.

McGee...Bennett....stop drafting A&M offensive players, Jerry. Quick, name all the NFL offensive greats that played at A&M.....me neither.

What's really funny is imagining a no-nonsense coach like Coughlin putting up with this complete knucklehead. That signing made no sense to me.

I hope he catches 100 passes this year. Those are pass attempts that could have gone to real playmakers like Cruz and Nicks wasted on Marty B's vortex of suck.

I'm glad he is gone, but he should have been gone few years earlier.
True. Hindsight is 20/20 but it sure would have been nice to get over on the Bengals for the pick they offered for him a few years back.

:starspin :lmao: :starspin

Grantland's Bill Barnwell today included Marty B on the "must have" list for your fantasy team, if your league awards points for muscle tears.

Martellus Bennett, the philosopher, on finally getting out of Jason Witten's considerable shadow:
"Every once in a while, plants can’t really grow when they’re out-shaded by the tall tree, so I get a little sunlight for myself now"

Bless Witten for having had to tolerate this inĂştil.

ALBANY, N.Y. - On his first day at training camp, Martellus Bennett expressed his hatred for the Dallas Cowboys... and everybody else who isn't a Giant.

Looks like the former Cowboy will fit in just fine with the New York Giants.

"I just want to kick those guys' *****," Bennett said when asked about playing the Cowboys shortly after arriving to Giants camp. "That is what it is all about. I mean we are cool but we ain't that cool, know what I am saying? I kind of got some ill feelings towards them overall. It is a game, I kind of hate everybody, honestly, in the NFL."

You know, i wouldn't shed a tear if it was reported he blew both knees out in practice, and could never play again.

Might giggle a little actually

I wanted that trade so badly back then, and folks couldn't understand why. And that was before he showed what a complete waste of space he was.

It's simply a love/hate thing for me:

Hated the pick when they made it in the draft.

Hated not taking the trade with the Bengals.

Loved that they didn't re-sign him.

Going to love when they light him up...and I don't care if they get a 15-yard penalty for it, either.

John David Crow was pretty good!!

Yawn...

Bennett has to trash talk to compensate for how lousy of a TE he is.
