I think he is having a good year. Despite the two interceptions on passes to him, I think he is having a pretty good year. He is obviously working to get better. If he had come down with that touchdown, we're at a completely different place, and thats what I keep in mind.

It just didn't work out for us like that, but I think MartyB is going to be a key for us down the stretch.

Even on that interception in our own redzone, you saw MartyB do something I only see Ware do. He wen't straight for the strip because he knew what that turnover meant, and probably blamed him self for sitting back on that route.

Did you seriously read what you posted? Seriously? What else can he not do to be a contributor?

I personally haven't seen much from Marty, B. Is there a reason he doesn't play much? Even with Phillips out? He and Choice are both football stupid, IMO.

he has only 4 less catches than Dez Bryant.

Its not that I'm keeping them in mind, I'm just saying he is impressing me with his progress. Thats what I'm looking for in young players. Sorry if he isn't a pro bowler this year, but he is making progress.

Absolutely agree he is having a good year. He may be the best blocking TE in the league, and he is showing he can be a good pass catching TE too.

I haven't seen ONE SINGLE THING that says Bennett is contributing in any way. I've never cared for the guy at all, nor have I made that a secret. But I'd be the first to admit it if I saw him do something impressive. IMO, he's been the most underwhelming, average guy on our team.
Should have traded him to the Bengals- where he belongs.

I've been hoping he would have a breakout season, but so far I've seen little to back that up. Bennett seems to have all of the physical qualities of a young Antonio Gates, but without the work ethic, football I.Q., or passion to ever fully realize his talent.

Believe me, I keep waiting for his big moment...and last game was his biggest opportunity yet, where he tipped TD catch for an interception and had another ripped out of his hands (the last not really his fault, though a better player may have been able to shield the defender).

I really hope Galian Beast is right, and my observations are wrong...It's not that I haven't seen improvement over last year, I have. However, he just doesn't seem to have "it" in my opinion, and I don't know how many more chances he will have to prove that he does.

I hope what you say is true b/c from my vantage point Bennett doesn't have the mentals to play the game at a high level.

I said this in the pre-season about Bennett - there are some guys who love the game and there are other guys who love what the game does for them. To me, Bennett fits in the latter category.

Despite a couple drops he is 13 receptions for 19 targets for a very dependable 68 percent completion rating, up from his 15 receptions for 30 targets the year before. 2 more receptions and he'll match his total for the entire year last year.

He has struggled to live up to his security blanket label, and the penalties are getting ridiculous.

He is 15% down on reception percentage this year, while I'm pretty sure everyone else is up.

He also didn't even try and stop the defender from intercepting that ball. If anyone needs to be blamed its Bennett for having such a bad game.

Why just him, and not everyone else? Both Witten and Austin have had key drops this year. If Bennett was 100% on all catches this year, Dallas is still 1-3.

Alot of hand wringing over the backup TE.
