Wow, I thought you were a different kind of guy. Guess tough times reveal things.

oh well. That is how it will be around here.

Oh how I wished this place existed in the late 80s and early 90s.

Theebs, I am a different kind of guy. I want to believe in this team.
It has been far to long. Our roster is at it's peak. We can barley fit any more talent here. I'm just getting tired of saying "Next year is our year" at some point you have to step up and do it. I really thought this was our year.

The malcontents were gone, the garbage removed. These opportunities are only so big, we didn't take advantage of it and I can't blame the Vikings for it.
Reality is the Cowboys couldn't get it done. Why cry about a late TD classless or not. It didn't effect the out come. We were set back by the performance of today's game. I'm tired of it.

I can't believe so many Cowboys fans are whining about the Vikings throwing a touchdown with two minutes left in the game.

There's no whining in football.

and there are always the pious, righteous types who claim that anything bad that happens to us is our own fault, and they say it while walking on water

Fans are upset because they thought "believe" was going to get us to the Super Bowl and when the Vikings shoved it back in our face, like people whose beliefs are insulted, we can't take it and want to fight back - only our team can't do the fighting for us.

Cowboys fans are like the team. They want to fight more over someone insulting us and not doing anything about it where it counts - on the field.

I guess we'll take a victory where we can take it.

we have won the toughest division in football 2 of the last 3 years.

We made the playoffs 3 of the last 4.

We are 1 of only 3 teams to have a winning record 4 straight years.

It takes time. This team has its arrow pointing up. We went through a ton of change this offseason, a ton. And we won 12 games and a home playoff game.

Sorry but I have to take the other side on this. Your mantra made sense in the 70's and 80's, but this is the league of now. Teams don't build and get better year after year, this is the league where you spin the slot machine and get 8 new division winners every year.

No, instead what I see is a team wasting phenomenal talent. In 2007, 2008 and 2009, these teams clearly should have progressed further than where they went. Romo is going to be 30 years old soon. Guys like Ware, James and Barber are in their prime, but they're not spring chickens.

There are windows of opportunity. What you did last year has absolutely no impact on how you will do the next year. In August, we'll all be fired up and optimistic and the team will start again from 0-0.

Look, I'm not trying to bring everyone down, I enjoyed the season. But I just don't buy into the improving and "arrow pointing up" arguments.

The Vikings pulled a Buddy Ryan with that last score.

It'll help the Cowboys bring some extra fire next time around. Ultimately, that's why it wasn't a smart move on the Viking's part.

The Cowboys should worry more about beating the Vikings when it counts and less about avenging some wounded pride because someone added a meaningless score in a blowout.

Right, because you needed to see a facial inflection to recognize the alteration of a phrase taken from a fictitious movie.

what?

Your totally misreading like many are. everyone in the locker room gave all the credit to the vikings for playing a tremendous game defensively. I havent heard one player tonight say anything different. Not one.

but there is a certain point where everyone knows your beat and you tip your hat and get it over, keep everyone healthy and move on. They pulled a real stupid move today. They accomplished everything they needed to.

What they did had nothing to do with the spirit of competition or what team sports are about. Nothing. And it is upsetting because every fan knew who the better team was, they earned their victory in spades.

and as far as you ripping on the believe thing, it shows that your are a pompous jerk. That was all about unity and us stopping the bickering, there are many people jumping on this bandwagon to start ripping that.

Your suprising me with that just like some others are tonight. You always act like you take this high and mighty road, even in this topic you are doing that telling people to get over themselves with favres td.......then you turn around and poke fun at the believe thing....which again was a plea for unity behind the team from all fans.

Pretty sad. Tough losses show true colors and alot of fans are appearing to be the gutless mouthy types they love to claim this team is.

"The season after T.O. is let go, the Cowboys will make it to the Super Bowl, or at least go farther than they've gone previously with him." - Tyke1doe, January 2009

Prediction fulfilled: NFC Wildcard Game: Dallas Cowboys 34, Philadelphia Eagles 14, January 9, 2010 ]

Not to nitpick, but in 2007 the Cowboys went to the divisional round too via a first round bye. So prediction not really fulfilled. Might want to seek arbitration, though.

How about stopping them on 4th down.

HOw bout stopping them on 3rd down. Or the other 4th down.

It was cheap, but, oh well, what can they do. They got whooped like dogs and all hell will come down on the Vikings next Sunday when they get the **** and piss knocked outta them in New Orleans. ..

What was Romo supposed to do? If he doesn't go up or acknowledge the darling of the NFL, He is a poor sport, sore loser, etc.

I am a sore loser, and a poor sport. And, especially after the way the Vikings rub their noses in it? ****, no way in hell I would be talking to a soul in purple.

****ing Ratliff smiling at the end pissed me off more then what Romo did.

The ****ing team should of walked of the field. Two middle fingers in the air and left. Not saying one "yo dog, props to ya" or the hugging **** or anything.

But, most these players are just here for a paycheck, period.
