What about a trade up to 7 if Mason Graham is there. It would solidify our D. Give up next years 2 this years one. Throw in a 5 if you have to from next year. . Helps protect lb position and cb position due to qb having less time to throw.

All of Carter, Graham, Hunter and McMillan are worth a trade up to me depending on the price. Probably a 2nd or two 3rds though. Quite steep for our FA habits so it's tough.

Stay put and grab Grant. Might still be able to get him via a trade down.
Stay put at 44? Sounds good. Grant at 12 is insanity.

And I’m not trading up to have a DT duo that are both under 300 pounds. This board has been on a crusade to fix the run D for 2 years straight and now want to run Graham and Osa out at DT? I’m not convinced they could be on the field together more than 40(ish) % of the time. Like it or not, resigning Osa eliminated DT from our front office’s list of needs.

He will go somewhere between 16 and 30, no way he makes it to the 2nd round….especially #44. It depends on when the DT run happens and it might be early due to a poor QB class. I probably wouldn’t draft him at #12 but trading back to the mid-twenties is good value. You are probably right though, signing Osa squashed all that. Grant would already be better than Mazi though, might even help elevate his game.

We’ll see…I’d say 16 still seems way high, but I’ve certainly been wrong before. 25-40 seems more realistic

And I’m not saying Grant isn’t a good prospect, I just think this board values NT’s way more than the NFL does. Would you say Grant is a significantly better prospect than T’Vondre Sweat (38th pick) was last year? Mazi was the highest drafted NT the year before at 24. Non pass rushers just don’t go that high, we’ll see if teams buck that trend this year with a lack of high end talent though.

There’s going to

There will be a very good DT option at 44…guarantee it.

When your biggest problem is NOT PASS RUSH then you find players to fix it.
Demanding every DL be able to pass rush is MORONIC. There are only a handful of DTs in this league that are any threat at all as a pass rusher.
Get a big mean guy that will wreck a running attack.
And do not get so stupidly fixated on where someone SHOULD BE DRAFTED and get the best player for what the team needs.

If can they somehow draft Harmon I'll be excited. They said they want to get tougher in the trenches which is why I really like this quote about him.

" He will bring an instant dose of stinginess and toughness to any defense he joins."

Yes. I might be the minority on this but I would. He's that good.
