We still have massive need at WR. The best thing we can do is try to trade into the top 15 to get JSN
So, to be clear, we need to trade our 2nd and other assets to jump into the Top 15 to get a WR who if everything goes according to plan, would only be on the field around, at best, 20% of the offensive snaps.
Remember, the Cowboys basically have said that they count on the draft to find their impact guys and expect their high picks to make immediate impacts. It seems unlikely they would take a WR at 26, let alone trade away other top picks, to move up to take a WR that would be 4th on the depth chart.
Last year, the top three snaps at WR were Gallup, Lamb and Brown. If you add up the 6 other WRs who got snaps in 2023, it only totaled around 28%. The Cowboys don't use a 4th WR a lot.
