1) Aaron Donald and Suh vs Looney and Connor Williams in pass protection. I think we can run on them, but they gotta protect Dak.

2) Cooks vs Awuzie. You know McVay is gonna figure out a way to match them up. Hope Kris Richard gives him help. Tyler Lockett got loose a few times in our last game. Cooks is faster and in a more dynamic offense.

3) Talib or Peterson vs Gallup. I'm not concerned with Coop or Beastly - they'll get theirs - but will Gallup be able to get clean separation from these physical corners?

4) Dante Fowler (new acquisition) vs 71. Donald commands so much attention that Collins better be on his game. He'll be on an island.

What concerns do you guys have Zoners?

Besides the obvious in Donald, their CB's are concerning. Peters is beatable, but Talib and Peters are both ballhawks. If Dak makes a throw like the gift he tried to give Shaquille Griffin, Peters/Talib are taking it back for 6.

As far as our defense vs. their offense - I trust Richard.

He cooked up a good game plan vs. Nawlins, with Byron shadowing Thomas and Lewis on Kamara. Vs. Seattle he was able to contain Russ' mobility with well timed blitzes and Jaylon as a spy.

this is a game when we will feature the TEs and Beasley in the middle of the field. both Peterson and Talib are aggressive, so expect to see some stop and go routes to bait them. I think dallas will go in with an aggressive down field attack and lots of outside runs and a lot of screen passes.

defensively we will have our hands full, but key is to be physical with their OL and with Goff. we have to punch them in the mouth. both LVE and Smith are going to be key in stopping the run and pass defense. look for Richards to throw a few exotic looks at the rams in key moments in the game. looks they have not seen.

ball control is going to be key to the game. keeping their offense on the sideline, means they are not scoring. we need to have some long drives even if we don't score. no 3 an outs and giving it back to them quickly.

The boys squared up better vs a saints team with only one legit wr to contend with. The rams boast legit wr’s across the board even without Kupp. They also boast two TEs who would be starters on most teams and last but not least the beast they have in Gurley. I’ve read where several have posted this is a better matchup but put me in the other court. I’d rather be facing the saints but it is what it is so let’s go Cowboys! Gonna be tough though.

It's a bad matchup for everyone because their defense is good (not so much against the run) and their offense can play several styles dependant on how the opposing defense plays them ..

Dak is going to have to have a legendary game for us to win. I dont see us keeping them under 30.

Donald and Suh creating havoc in the middle is going to be a concern until it isn’t...

1. Garrett vs Mcvay

End

Meh

I’ll give the nod to Garrett as of right now and I don’t consider myself a Garrett apologist. McVay doesn’t have any playoff success and his offense looked real suspect down the stretch.

McVay is the flavor of the month, he may be the next Lombardi but let’s see how he does when everything doesn’t go right.

My concern is giving McVay two weeks to prepare and rest. The Rams like the Cowboys are also under pressure to perform in the playoffs.
I am very scared of the team that ran far and away the most play action in the league. How did we do against Seattle in PA this week???
This will not be an easy matchup, Goff cannot just play pitch and catch, we have to get in his face and force the issue. Make them go down the field against us, that has been the formula against them as of late. I'm sure they will adjust. My question how do we counteract their adjustments. When you reach this point in the season, it's all about preparation.
They do bubble screen's to WR's
They do jet sweeps
They do playaction
Put a LB sply on Gurley, he is deadly out of the backfield
No lead is safe, so we cannot fall asleep at the end of the game like we did against the Hawks.
They will not just pound the ball and get 73 yards, they will throw it down the field.

On offense, Dak cannot be under center and take 5 to 7 yard drops, Donald will be in his face all day. No one can stop that man. He is probably the best player in the league, regardless of position.
Quick throws, Roll outs, attack them up the seam. Make this the kitchen sink game. Throw everything at them. I wish we would be a bit more creative in the running game. I know Zeke is great and just almost impossible to stop but there is never any creativity in our run Offense. No draws, no toss, run some RPO's. Unleash Blake Jarwin ..

It’s all about QB play in the playoffs. Give me a young QB versus Drew Brees in the dome. Plus I’d rather face a banged up Gurley versus a healthy Kamara. Not to mention a pseudo home game outdoors in LA versus the craziness of the dome. All that being said, it’s going to take our best game to beat these guys as they’re talented and well coached. Go Cowboys!!

Their defense has good players but gives up alot of points. Their offense runs the same 6 plays formations but can do any number of things out of it.

Our defense will need to be on point to keep this thing close, let the sacks fly.

I think this could be a big TE game too. I think we can exploit their LBs with TEs or getting a mismatch with a WR on a LB. If we can get to the second level on rushes, we can get chunk plays. We need to be able to attack the middle of the field on pass plays

The Rams scored 31 and 48 points their last two games. Not quite sure how the offense looked real suspect down the stretch.

This Cowboys defense will be tested Saturday night. No doubt about that.
