Avery;5053121 said:Take this for what it's worth as rumors and misdirection are a dime a dozen this close to the draft, but one of my longtime friends works as an editor for Yahoo Sports. Word that's been circulating heavily in their office is that a team in the first half of round one has essentially promised they would draft Matt Barkley and already loosely agreed on contract numbers.
Again, don't take it as the gospel as we hear more BS vs. facts at this time of the year, but something to maybe keep in the back of our minds on draft day.

QB is the most important position on the team and if you don't have one, you don't have a team. If a guy pans out, you can never overpay him or over-draft him or spend too many picks to trade up for a franchise guy....ever.
IMO Barkley won't do that well in the pros, but just saying someone is likely to take a chance on him in rd 1.
